Ok the W and I are recovering. She still is not at the point of say ILY yet or being intimate with me yet. How personal a gift should I get? I want to get here something that says how much I still love here, but don't know if that would be bad or good. I saw this and thought about something like this...

"A Love Letter" Crimson Heart Sculpture

Just need a little advice.

Anyway you can get a sitter and take her away for the evening? Time spent alone together, away from the stresses and demands of four children might be worth more than any item you could buy.

Last year for Valentine's Day i did something my H liked. I created several little poems directing him to a different place in the house to go look until he came to his gift.

Maybe you can try something like that and have it lead to your gift. I htink hte heart is beautiful and creating your own message would probably mean a lot.

If it were me, I would think that heart sculpture would be too much. But, it may be that it's not my style.

Maybe I'm the one with issues. This Valentine's Day would have been my 30th anniversary. I was only six when I got married. (Cough, cough, cough.)

JJ,
That's good advice and one I will take up.

SC,
That's a cool idea, I love it.

Cinderella,
That's what I need to here. I'm not sure what would be too much. Normally it would be perfect, because that is her style. She loves to paint. So when I was in the military, before we got married, she painted a pillow that looked like a post card. It had a nice message on the back just like a giant pillow post card. I still have it and it means a lot to me. But I wasn't sure if that was too much too soon.

Ha! Don't ever worry about your age. I told my wife last night, and I truely meant it, that she was more beautiful today than when we got married. I really do think that too. I wouldn't have her go back one day. Maybe it's because my tastes have changed, I don't know, but I know that is the complete truth. Why would I lie here <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> After having 4 kids and a "couple" of other self esteem problems, I just can't seem to convince her it doesn't matter to me. She's perfect. I hope your husbands and wives feel that way about you.
