I had an emotional affair with an in-law that ended abruptly a while ago.I struggle daily with so many different feelings;paranoia that He will say something to someone, depression because it's ended and because I'm still not satisfied with my marriage. My life consists of 2things;bettering myself...Him.I have trouble prioritizing the two.I've been deeply infatuated before..I know I'll get over it....but what do I do if He tells? What do I do about family get togethers? I don't think I could handle seeig him and family together..I wish He wasn't so closely tied in so I could just get over him ad forget about it all...but if I stay in this marriage.that will be impossible.I still onder in the back of my mind if He still wants me....if it was all some sort of game he played with me...I'm so confused and worried right now..any advice would help..

Diana - You probably should post on General Questions II where there are other ex wayward wives.

The thing is, you are going to HAVE to tell your husband. Otherwise you will never be able to recover a happy marriage.

Do you have any children? How long married?

You mention that you have been deeply infatuated before. Does this mean that you have had other emotional affairs while married? You say your life consists of two things: Him and bettering yourself. That sounds like you are still spending a lot of your time and emotional energy thinking about him. If your marriage is not great, it will be very hard to make it great while you are spending all that time and emotional energy on this other man.

Once you get over him, as you say you are sure you will, what will stop you from getting attached to another other man? Sounds like a pattern.

I agree that you would get help from other formerly wayward wives that post on general questions.
