I fixed the screen door this morning. Removed the stripped screw & replaced it with a few new ones. All by myself!

All you have to do is TELL A GUY your dilemma and look as CLUELESS as possible and he will come running with the screwdriver and whatnots. They love doing that stuff! Mel, that's the plan for IF/when I get a flat tire.
Pull over. Go to trunk. Pull out spare. Lean spare up on side of car. Stand there, looking, watch them pull over.
I did NOT do it with a butter knife, I did it with a power tool found in the basement. (Aw, he left me a power tool. Ain't that sweet?!?!?!)
I don't have a hammer though, so to pound nails I use a busted ol' axe head.
I don't want any men in here. Duh

Sadly, I wasn't married to a mister fix it. I was married to a MR I don't know what the ****** I;m going so call somebody or do it yourself. He would see the roof collapsing and not give a crap.
I'm pretty good with plumbing, electricity, woodworking... It's a wonder my WH never felt like a man.

My H can fix anything, so it seems, which is great as our little fixer-upper has a lot of fixin' to be done.
I fought with that dang door for 2+ weeks, almost refusing to fix it, it's not my job. Well, I wasn't kidding when I said it's time to focus on ME now so I stood there on that kitchen chair (step stool? Pffft, who needs 'em?) this morning and FIXED THAT DOOR!
Yes, I DO hope it gets back to H. I'm sure it will, actually, as DS watched me & DD complimented me. That's right, buddy.

Funny, I thought every day was women's day... I'm pretty handy around the house, and I've got DS4 headed down the right track. I taught him how to use a saw last weekend after I took a few trees down....and today we spent much of the morning crawling under furniture with flashlights and play tools to 'fix' things. There are twin 5-year-old girls next door so I think he's in fine shape <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
