My FWH progressed from prostitutes to As + prostitutes.
The fact that prostitution involves 'anonymous' sex does not reduce the horror for the BS. The idea that your spouse could exploit another human being - abusing the most intimate act possible between a man and a woman - is in many ways worse than knowing that he could betray the marriage with an OW.
The realisation that your husband could pay for sex with no regard for the humanity of the woman offering herself as a 'service', is chilling. It leaves you, the wife, feeling like a prostitute yourself when you engage in marital SF.

If I were the govenor's wife, I'd be furious, but not so much because of the sex act with a prostitue, but because his actions recklessly and willingly pulled her into a scandalous mess and changed her life forever. His actions were not the actions of a loving and protective husband. Given his knowledge and experience, he had to know that the risk of getting caught was very high, and she must be furious that he was willing to sacrifice her happiness given those risks. It's the callous disregard of his wife's feelings that I find the most awful part of the mess that he now finds himself in.

Should you be offended by such behavior by a politician because he harmed his family and is probably just as dishonest at work as he is at home?
Should you ignore what he did without condoning it, because what he does in his private life is his business, and has little to no bearing on the work he does while in office?
The answer is almost always determined by the political affiliation of the politician involved.
If he's on "your" side, leave the guy alone and let him do it job. It's no business of the media or the general public. Shame on us all for putting him through the ringer!
If he's not on your side, string him up! He's a lying, deceitful scumbag. He has no respect for the American people or the office he was elected to. We don't need more slime like that in positions of power!
The bottom line is that ANY politician, from a city councilperson to the President, should be removed from office immediately upon discovery of infidelity. I didn't say "resign", I said "BE REMOVED". It doesn't matter if the cheating was legal (EA/PA) or illegal (hookers). Cheating says volumes about a person's character. Cheaters aren't good people who made an isolated mistake. They are bad people, period. With all due respect to the remorseful FWSs on this discussion board, if you are cheating, you are a bad person. It doesn't matter if you give to charity and love your kids. If you are cheating, you suck.
Politics is one career where loyalty should be a requirement. If a person is disloyal to their spouse, they'll think nothing of changing their vote for a pocketful of cash.
300 million people in this country...is it too much to ask the .000001% of people in this country who hold an elected position NOT be willing to offer up their genitals to anything with a pulse?

Spitzer has resigned.
I just read where investigators now say Spitzer spent upwards of $80,000 on just the high end prostitutes they know about. There is more to this than the sex. And I bet he doesn't want it coming out.

You know what the highest paid government position in the country is? Working under New York Governor Spitzer. It pays like $5,000 an hour. ~Jay Leno

Good...I hope his wife takes him to the cleaners in a divorce, and he ends up eating out of dumpsters.

If you are cheating, you suck. I don't agree with this comment at all. I think most people, perhaps with the exception of the truly evil, are not all bad or all good. We all have lightness and darkness in our soul. Cheating is just one aspect of a person, not the total person. I believe that a person can be a good person in many, many ways and still fall into a cheating relationship. As I've always tried to remember with my children, the behavior is bad, not the child. Remembering that leaves the door open for forgiveness and redemption.

I felt kinda bad for her at first until I heard she had a previous marriage of about 3 months. If this is true......Im not wasting my "feeling bad" on a wackjob like that.

Do you know the details of her other marriage? If not, that is a huge assumption to make about this woman. Maybe she was cheated on, beat or something else.

If you are cheating, you suck.
Perfectly said. ANd perfectly true.
The reply about still being a good person has some truth to it also.
THe cheater MAY be a good person deep inside, but WHILE they are cheating........absolutely not. While they are "in the act of cheating" they have given up their membership to the "good person club". Now, if they stop and make amends, yes, I absolutely believe that the GOOD PERSON can reemerge.

Unless the spouse died, I feel pretty confident that if your marriage lasts THREE months, somewhere along the line, she will be shouldering some of the blame.
Its just a guess, but a think its a safe one.
