While MB was down, I did some surfing to see what else was out there for MB support. Not much. Without naming names, I did visit and even sign up for one site, but man, oh man, it was mostly other BS's sympathizing with new BS's. Lots of venting and not much constructive advice. So many times I wanted to say, hey you should go over to MB.

I even ventured into "that other place" where OP gather (don't worry, I was wearing protective gear). It was interesting to see how twisted OP really get in their thinking. And when they group together, they can be downright vicious when it comes to the BS. It was sickening.

I am SO, SO thankful for MB. It really is a God-send.

I learned how much I really do appreciate the help and guidance I get here. I learned that I can do it without MB forum, but I PREFER not to. I learned that I missed my friends. I learned to walk away from the computer, unplug, now and then.

meggy, you ARE nuts, going to the OP hotline! I would probably lose my cool over there. Probably because I'm still dealing with ongoing betrayal. grrrrrr.

I went to bed at the same time as my wife three nights during the week. Two in row at that...

I also did some thinking while the boards were down and you know what happens when I start thinking. I already posted one on my musings thread and there will be a plethora of others forthcoming when I figure out where to put them.

And I read a little bit too...

I groaned and moaned and wonder how what I was supposed to do next???? I learned that while your alls support means the world to me, I can do all these things on my own.....I also learned just how much I have learned here and what this means to me....I also learned how much MIMI'S advice is dear to me.... wink (I hate these stupid faces.....)

Now that its back up, I learned I hate the new formate, I hate the lettering in blue, I hate trying to figure everything out, and I REALLY HATE these stupid emoticons.....

Hi PM....long time, no chat! smile

Saw this thread and nearly lost it before telling you "thanks".

I wanted to check out other sites and found 2. They didn't fit and I just didn't want to look any further....but I felt guilty about it.....thought I might be missing something.

Now that you say you looked around alot, (and found little) I am glad I stopped searching.

MB is the only discussion forum I've ever participated in and until the forums went down for the UP grade (yeah, Mark calls it an oxymoron) I never even considered looking elsewhere.

I haven't really taken much time to check out the new features and I'm heading out of town for the weekend so it will be awhile til I do...but so far there are a few things I miss (Who's Online) and several things I really like (highlight/click...larger fonts....list of all threads created).

Hope all is going well with you and your DH. I really enjoy reading your posts even if I don't reply to many.

Thanks,
Ace

P.S. Hey N2F...how about if you make a love/hate/DC* list of the new features and I'll make one, too. Let's compare later, K? (*DC stands for "don't care", meaning things that are new that you don't care about either way.)

Hey PM.. been echoing the same sentiments here. Though I tell you, the time spent without coming to the boards made me realize how much coming here actually causes me to dwell on WW and the circumstances.. in some cases it's unhealthy, so I think I'm going to change the way I 'use' this board a bit.. mostly to document, and a place to interact with new 'friends' who have gone through the same kind of trauma.

Ace... this got me thinking:

Are we 'faithful' to a fault?

Just something I've been pondering.
