CHARLOTTE:
I forgot to add you to my list of FLOWERING GODDESSES!!
I kept SMILING all weekend, thinking about your DANCE LESSONS!!
WONDERFUL AND AWESOME!! Thank you, mimi!! I'm working on keeping the Goddess mindset at all times! If I don't think about keeping the mindset too much I'm usually okay. Then it's just natural. Am I making sense? LOL!!! I have no idea!! But tonight is Belly Dancing, Baby!! WOOOO!! And my dental hygienist wants to join me!! Wheeeee!! She sounds serious because she brought it up again the other day. So here's hoping! I've asked family members and friends before but had no takers. An interesting answer from a friend was: "Well, you're crazy so you can do it!" I'm like....Hruh? LOL! Oh, I decided to get my teeth bleached. Gotta be Super Goddess for the hearing next month! In all ways! It was funny because I told my Mom when she was still in CA with my nieces. The next thing I know my youngest niece was on the phone lecturing me about how bad it is to do that. Confused? Me too! I asked Mom about it when I picked her up from the airport. She said bro told them that people who have their teeth bleached end up with their teeth turning black in 10 years. I was like...well, sister's teeth aren't black! And why aren't there a bunch of people running around with black teeth? LOL! I don't know where bro got this info. I've NEVER heard of that before. Anyone else ever hear of it? I'm still waiting for one of my heels to heal before Saturday. My Boogie Shoes did quite a number on it the other day. I think I need a skin graft. LOL! I told my family...well...if I ever disappear and any remains are found....you can find plenty of DNA on my Boogie Shoes! Have a great day, Goddesses!! Rock on!!

Hi mimi!
Not yet. I'll ask my teacher about it, though. So far we have done the Samba, the Cha Cha Cha, the Waltz, the Tango, the Rumba and Swing.
And the belly dancing class was FULL tonight! Women of all shapes and sizes, too. I had asked several ladies to go with me and the usual excuse they gave was, "I'm too fat!" Okay, whatever and no you're NOT!!
It was fun. The first thing to die is your lower back!!
LOL!

Hey, Goddesses, I once asked Charlotte about hair donation since hers is SO long.
Well, any goddess could donate her hair. OK, so, you do have to have hair that qualifies and that might, for the time being, rule out some people.
HOWEVER, thanks to cruising the internet, I found someone's bloggy thing that had a lot of information about hair donation - requirements for different programs, outreaches of different programs, hair tips/suggestions, stuff like that. Here is the link: DONATE YOUR HAIR

Went to retrieve an RV for a friend out by Palm Springs...DH and I had two hours in the car to just "chat." I made sure to have my super-cute new walking shorts, sexy tank, and strappy sandals on. DH was tired, but he at least noticed the new outfit (a good sign). I wasn't dressed completely appropriate for cleaning out the RV, but d@$m did I look good walking around!
Need to get some new lipstick, though. I left it in my purse, in the car, and it melted. Oh well...I guess I'll just HAVE to go SHOPPING (wink, wink).
;-P
Reading a GREAT book right now too...Marley and Me. About a man and his neurotic dog. I've been laughing out loud at the descriptions of the horrible things this dog gets into.

I've been doing a lot of cooking and tried out two new recipes from here - the chicken rolls, and chicken and stove top stuffing. Both were easy and DELICIOUS!

Wow, I really envy your cooking ambitions. I like good food but I am terrible at following recipes. I tend to try out new stuff by myself and some is good and some is, well, not that good. lol!
But I must say: From today I have a new hair color! I have been hesitating for a while but I decided that I would give it a try. I used to change hair color now and then when I was younger but for a long time I have been happy with my natural color, middle blond with natural highlights. Now my hair is strawberry/golden blond, still with hightlights, and I feel so good about it.
I read some comments here about the effect an affair has on your self confidence and self confidence is an issue for me. I try to improve it and I find that it helps me when I care for someone else. That is good, but on the other hand it is a kind of confirmation from others and I want to be confident in myself.
I read an article about self suggestion which said that you should decide what you want to be or achieve and create a "mantra" and read it to yourself. I decided that my "mantra" is: "I am attractive and beautiful. I am positive and everyone likes me. I am radiant with energy and love myself. I am calm and satisfied with being me." It may sound silly but I actually feel good when I read it to myself and visualize myself like that. Sometimes I find myself thinking negative thoughts and I feel that I am getting depressed but if I read those lines and focus on breathing calmly I become positive and happy again.

Who:
Your MANTRA brought this to my mind...
As I mentioned earlier, I've learned that I am PROGRAMMED VISUALLY..that's what Tony Robbins calls it, our PROGRAMMING...
Tony Robbins also talked about having MODELS and MENTORS that are SUCCESSFUL and he encourages modeling ourselves off of these persons. He calls it "MIRRORING", modeling their ACTIONS and COMMUNICATION STYLE in order to attain your own SUCCESS...this would include reading AUTOBIOGRAPHIES about successful people...
That being said, I recall during MY PLAN B, how I said to myself, even journalled, how I wanted to PRESENT MYSELF like this other prominent woman in my community whose husband left her...this woman started her own business after being a SAHM, worked out, always looked SELF-CONFIDENT and "COOL" when I would see her in the grocery store...I didn't know her well enough to know how she was feeling INSIDE..but seeing her actually HELPED me...and I said to myself.."I wanna be like "HER"!
That type of thinking of mine has led to this thread. I think our EXTERIOR matters to US and serves as a SYMBOL to ourselves and others that WE ARE "FIERCE" and continuing to MOVE FORWARD despite our BETRAYAL...
"FIERCE" ...an adjective from TYRA BANKS, used on AMERICA'S TOP MODEL"..of course, I betcha you guys aren't surprised I LOVE THAT SHOW, mainly because of TYRA..OMG, WHAT A GODDESS!!
I made it happen..a joyful life..filled with peace, contentment, happiness and fabulocity.

Mimi, I think you are right about exterior being important for how we feel inside. I care more about my looks now than before my WHs affair (I am in plan B by the way). I have always dressed plain and never worn any make-up or jewelry but now I have changed all that: pretty underwear, tight jeans, nice tops - sometimes low-cut - make-up and hair care, a cute necklace... It makes me feel good and confident and I love when people compliment me on it.
It is actually a bigger challenge for me to work on my inside. I have always had quite a temper and I simply can't hide my feelings. The "mantra" I mentioned above helps me with that too, I tell myself that I am calm and imagine myself with dignity and self control. I am completely ok when I am with other people, for example at work or with friends, but when I am on my own I can easily get sad and feel lonely and that is when I use my "mantra" most.
All the best, to the best, from me Why

This DOMESTIC GODDESS, has been at work busy moving furniture, redesigning how my apartment looks and I finally got to a place where it's clean and redone. I'm very happy with it. Now I just need a few finishing touches. The walls look bare because I moved the bookcases into my bedroom. My boys hated the first way I had the room, and so did I, but I kept moving and thinking. Wanted to plant my flowers, but no luck on the rain holding back. I also bought a BBQ yesterday and boys and I will build it together one day this week. Not perfect yet, but it's getting cleaner for Passover. I felt like a slave today.

I did the domestic Goddess thing yesterday, too. Vacuuming up a storm, EVERYTHING. Dusting, wiping, spraying, washing. I started in my bedroom and worked my way thru the entire bottom floor. I need to wash the curtains and the sofa, chair cushion covers, still, but it's otherwise lovely.
I really need to get outside and mow, and weed, but the rain is not cooperating.
I'm back to cooking for one, but it's less expensive than ordering in, and less fattening, so I'm going to have to take food to work to feed those hungry masses there, and get them to critique the recipes. My work peops are like wolves waiting for the feast. You could prolly put down chocolate covered poo and they'd at least give it a second glance.
