Since they live with 3 small children and an aging, somewhat confused Grandpa, I think they're grateful for a few minutes! I have NO idea where that girl got her lack of inhibition. Certainly not from me! crazy I've got inhibition to burn!!!!!!!! In my house, sinks are used as plumbing, just like God intended. blush

SinkS, Mimi, sinkS. My, my, she will be SO glad, when she gets back online, to find out that the stories of unauthorized utilization of plumbing fixtures have surfaced again. As if she didn't already have enough reason to appreciate her very own mother!! laugh On the plus side, she can't really kill her long-term babysitter (just call me GranNanny), though, so I feel reasonably safe...at the moment.

I think it's somewhere in her "Neak's story" link, along with all her other odd adventures. Personally, I think it comes from her father's side of the family. blush

Where are all you goddesses? Although I have only posted here a few times I read what you are writing and you certainly encourage me to make improvements.

I ordered some new underwear from a web shop and it was delivered yesterday. I can't believe how pretty it is, I have unpacked it and put it in my top drawer and will use it little by little. One of my friends has invited me to her birthday party this weekend which will be a good reason to put on a brand new set and feel wonderful. If someone is interested and if it is ok to mention companies here I can give you the link, they offer a discount for a certain brand until the end of April.

This GARDEN GODDESS worked on some of the flowers today and will finish the rest up later. I am heading out the door to go walk a few miles and enjoy the absolute spectacular day G-d has given us in the PNW. And then come home and clean my apt so the DOMESTIC Goddess has a chance to shine.

Hair... not done yet, but will be

MakeUp .... mascara and lipstick.

Clothes... NOT SWEATS, but appropriate for exercise.

Attitude... GODDESS GOOD

HEAD'S UP, CHEST OUT, HEART OPEN AND SMILE STUNNING...

laugh

I slept last night! I feel more like a goddess today. Just need to get in the shower and do my hair & makeup.

It's a good day in LA. Gonna go get a pedicure.

~gasp~ ......... *thud*

Every time I think the sinks (yes, sinks, but not yours Rella, so don't look at me like that) have been brought back up again. AJ said smugly, and I quote, "They are just jealous because their husbands don't throw THEM up on sinks." ROFL!

Maybe not yet, but I have a feeling that plumbing around the country and maybe around the world, is going to get some unfamiliar exercise.

Writing erotica, lol, maybe a tasteful how-to manual. (Me and my Freudian mistakes - I always make them - I just typed ho-to manual. Good job, fingers.) Neaksis can make the discreet pen and ink drawings to illustrate it. Or perhaps not.

Such adventures I have been having. Since I last wrote, I have driven in plenty more snow; not so bad on the road as the first trip, but coming down almost too hard to see. The second batch, just after sunset in Nevada, was impressive. It was soon enough after the sun went down to still see a hint of blue in the western sky, except for the giant black patch directly ahead of us. When I got to it, there was no warning, no gradual increase in snow. Just boom! Right in the thick of it, from one second to the next.

It was snowing and windy like crazy, and the snow was blowing dizzingly across the road at a diagonal angle. You know those fun-house tunnels, where you try and walk straight across the little bridge, while the giant cylinder circles around you? It felt a lot like that. I had to just focus very hard on the white lines of the road, and try to ignore the white lines of the snow that wanted to lead me off to my right.

White lines and more white lines, the only visible difference being which direction they led. One going straight ahead, and one veering subtly off the path of safety. There is a deep spiritual lesson in that, when you read what Jesus, Paul, and Peter said about the deceptions that would come in the last days.

Anyhoo, we're sitting on the Texas panhandle right now, expecting some rain, but nothing like they're having further east. All day long I've been driving through the desert, admiring everything in bloom.

You should have seen us at suppertime. Parked at IdleAire again, yay!, everything [censored] and span, freshly showered, and sitting down on our lovely bed (lovely because it was made - during the week when we're running hard, one of us is most always in it, and it never has a chance to look tidy) to eat veggie burgers and watch the Weather Channel, finishing up with banana cream pie.

If only it was all like that, Mom's fears that I won't want to come home would be justified. But no, in between oases/oasises (?) ok, more than one oasis of love fests and meeting needs for domestic support but in a very small house, are days where for hours I just sit and drive, listening to sermon tapes and thinking happy thoughts. Pleasant yes, mostly, but not very thrilling. I would be just as happy at home, pitchforking manure for my little baby plants, and even happier if AJ was there, too.

Well ladies, one last stop before I head to bed, over on the FHP aisle. (Mom, before you make too much fun of me, I realize that has a misplaced metaphor, but I'm too tired to fix it without making it worse. And if I don't stay awake long enough, I may very well go to bed on the FHP aisle.)

If I can wrestle the computer away from AJ long enough, tomorrow I'll find where I saved my partial post that included why truckers probably honk at Mimi.

My thought for today:

Set achievable, simple short term goals for yourself each day. Achieve at least 1 simple goal every day. By doing this you will train your mind to accept success, and longer term, more difficult goals will become within your reach. Your failures will become more trivial.

Record your achievements...write your goals in a diary and note your successes. You will be amazed at how good at being a winner you really are.

2lives2fly posted this on his thread. Good words to live by. Thought the Goddesses could benefit from this post.

Well, my goal for the day was to fix a bursted copper pipe, and it's done. What a royal pain in the patoot! The pipe is located in a tight crawl space under our deck. Not really good for the ole neck, but I did my best. The repair leaks on one side, drip drip drip. I'm not interested in taking it all apart right now, but I did dang good for my first time ever working with soldering pipe.

NExt up, gotta work on the lawn. It's getting thicker by the minute, but the rain won't seem to let up.

A goddess understands that, it doesn't matter if it is the middle of April. When you have a freeze warning, dig out something warm and wear it.

This is getting SCARY..

Does explaining the HONKING require a LONG RESPONSE????

BREAKFAST ON THE TRUCK seems LOVELY

Do you have some MUSIC playing in the background?

It's not that bad, but I'm trying to learn how to do corporate taxes, and couldn't shut the whole computer down just then to reboot Word. For some reason Word and Excel have been really messing up.

No music right at that moment....we were listening to a sermon. grin

Well Meemers, there are two more likely explanations for truckers honking at you. Fellow goddesses recognizing your mutual goddesshood is not one of them, unfortunately. Flirting is the most likely, since I know YOU would never cut off trucks, almost clobber them, or nearly cause accidents.

Just a helpful hint, I was SHOCKED!!!!! by how much truckers can see from way up high. I always drove down the road with my skirt hiked up comfortably, often one leg thrown up on the dash. Well, they can see EVERYTHING! Lap level is where their best view is. (I say "their" and not "our" because I just don't look. Way too many sickos do nasty stuff on purpose. But once in a while I see a kid and honk for them, lol.)

Oh, a third less-likely possibility just occurred to me, too. If you drive a really nice car, they might honk just to admire your ride. But my money's on flirting.

Rella, I haven't been able to find your poem. There is a reason, a very good one, why I'm Idiotville's head of IT.

Also, I know just what you mean. The same imagination that led me to think of little-known Bible characters does the same sort of thing to me - I'm overwhelmed as I watch all the cars drive by, and drive past towns and cities and malls packed with people. God loves each one, knows every detail of each one, and works every day to draw them to Him.

And that's where I fell asleep.

It was a black cashmere sweater. With gray slacks. And a very sheer scarf with rich pink poppies printed on it.
