My wife and I recently separated after 8 yrs of marriage because she says she no longer knows what she wants due to my emotional neglect. My wife refuses joint counseling and at first acted like she was the angriest woman in the world for the two months before she moved out. She said it was all my fault. Now, on our weekly visits, she acts as if I just am a stranger or an acquantance. I am seeing a counselor and she says that her behavior suggests that she is totally checked out and I should just move on. I love her with everything in me and want to try to salvage our marriage. My wife only wants a separation for now and says she doesn't want a divorce--yet? There are a million factors involved here but my question is this--once a woman checks out of a marriage, can she ever get it back?
