You ladies are SO GREAT..you keep me laughing and smiling..

I bet that's true for lots of unknown others...

It's so wonderful to be at THIS PLACE in my life...LAUGHING AND SMILING...

I remember those DARK DAYS when I didn't think I'd ever LAUGH or SMILE again..asking myself, "Lord, how in the world am I gonna make it another MINUTE?"

It's so WONDERFUL that we can be HERE for each other...

I want to offer the HOPE to those of you out there who are still struggling that...

"THE DARKEST HOUR IS JUST BEFORE DAWN"..

Even if you don't RECOVER your MARRIAGE..you certainly can RECOVER and find YOURSELF..whoever you are..

As Mariah said last night: "BE YOU"...

SL, I thought it was hysterical, too.

I NEED a pedicure! For emotional reasons.

I REALLY NEED a massage!!! For physical reasons.

And, if I don't get them, I may hurt someone!

I just read a post where someone said they thought this thread was a waste of space

Doggone! What happened to the rolling eyes emoticon? I need it. Some people need to get a grip and quit "wasting space" with their unsolicited opinions. Who gets to decide what wastes space anyway? Maybe their comment was a waste of space. Who's the judge? I never posted on the Goddess thread until Neak asked me to post for her while she had no internet access. I'm not a Goddess type, unless you're counting one of the avenging kind...sort of a Caucasion Kali. crazy So I wouldn't have all that much to contribute here.

The Feminine Hygeine Aisle could be considered a "waste of space", too, but we've never let that inhibit us!! It serves its purpose for the people who visit there, and very happily, too, I might add. And if it meets our needs, why does anybody else even have to care? I simply cannot understand the compulsion some people have to try and regulate the activities of others they don't even know and who aren't bothering them, unless you call existing in the same cyberspace "bothering." Rolling my eyes again!!

So you go, Goddesses. Ignore the opiners and rule. You have my blessing, and if anybody gives you any trouble I'll shoot 'em up with my vaginal suppository machine gun and flaming tampon arrows. grin

I'm finding 60 to be a very weird age. Recently somebody called me "groovy," which I really wasn't even when I was young enough to have tried to be "groovy" without just looking silly. Now a "goddess"? I wear jeans and tee shirts during the week, and a bra if I'm going out in public. (I DID mention that I was 60, didn't I? So are my breasts. frown ). I pull my hair back in a pony tail except for church, and since my 93-year old dad has been very ill (at the same time I've been living at Neak's house and caring for her 3 children) I haven't gone there for about 3 wks. I guess I could be the Goddess of the Schlumps, if I had to, but that's about it. grin

Still, thanks for the offer to hang out. Don't blame me if your culture quality declines, though!!

I guess you must be celebrating round, then, if we're including MY form. And grooved, if not exactly groovy (at least that's what that weird old lady in my mirror keeps telling me every morning)! Good for you. Don't let the party flag on account of me, but I'm going to go celebrate with the Sandman right now. grin

Are you sure you are celebrating with him? I thought I was! Is he 2-timing us? Hugs to all! Goodnight.

This womanhood is celebrating GOING HOME!!!! I'll be there in a couple hours. grin

Two weeks down, and about 6 more to go.

Our next trip, starting Monday night, is going to be verra nice - we're going to Wisconsin, and will almostforsure be able to see my cousins. We tried to find some more of those nice PA loads, but there just weren't any right now.

Greetings, fellow goddesses. I think I'll get a pedicure in the morning. I'm aiming for a massage at 4 tomorrow afternoon. I think I will feel better, then. Meanwhile, this goddess is going to bed early tonight.

I am drained. Tired. Weary. Tomorrow, son has to work on his research project or I will, personally, hurt him.

Mimi - with 3 kids, not off work exactly, lol, but back to more standard duties. smile I am home right now (hooray!) but so twitchy from being back east that I couldn't sleep in by home time. Everyone else is still carving zzzzzzzz's.

Also, Mom is going to try and get Grandpa to church for the first time since right before I left. It will be interesting to see how that goes. He's better than when I left, but clearly has reached a whole new level in needed care.

Rella, I pluck the hair on my big toe. (As well as the single little hair that always grows on each of my middle toes.) I presume that counts.

Well for one thing the goddess thread was too far back and secondly i thought of something that i do that is girlie so i had to share.

My dad got gray hair pretty early in life and unfortunately i took this gene after him (even though i got his good metabolism and have an easy time staying thin so it is worth the trade off grin), so i started getting gray in my late 20's, by the time i reached 30 there was no way to hide it any more so i started coloring my hair and have done that ever since.

My DDs used to use funky colors on theirs (just the tips that is all i would let them and i did the coloring) like bright blue and purple and pink. I just use something close to my regular hair (pre-gray that is) which is brown. I alter the shade slightly but some kind of brown.

My H always tells me to leave the gray but i say i am not ready for that yet.
