sinjin,

I'm glad you're here. Please know that it usually takes a minimum of 2 years to recover from an affair. That is, if you're both working to recover. Have you read all the information on this site? How about His Needs/Her Needs and Surviving an Affair? Is your wife posting?

You may also want to post in GQII as there are more vets there. Weekends are slow. Also, try putting your stats in your signature line: Dday, your/your spouses ages, children ages and gender.

There is MUCH that you can do and say...

How much have you been reading here? Before you can get much from discussions on the message boards, make sure you've read all about the stages of affairs on this page:

Infidelity home page

Know that what you're going through is NOT unique, and that if both you and your spouse read, understand and apply Marriagebuilders principles, you can get through this.

I recommend you move this thread to the General Questions II forum... it gets much more traffic.

sinjin,

Your wife is going to need reassurance for a long time. Making love more often is a problem I think many waywards would rather have. smile I actually think the Emotional Needs board would be the best place for you to post. General Questions is really for active infidelity....but the Emotional Needs board is great for rebuilding compatibility and addressing "needs". Right now, you wife has a great need to feel physically close to you. If your body is not as willing as you'd like....then concentrate on hers. Affection and foreplay are extrememely good for developing intimacy even if full intercourse is the outcome or not.

Welcome to MB. I hope you come back and post.
