Hey everyone. I have a question that I was hoping to get some insight into.

My wife and I have been married almost a year, but we've been together for over six years. We also have two children.

For the past few months, my wife has been taking the kids to a friend's house whom I've known since I was a kid but I don't talk to him anymore. She still does, because our sons are around the same age and they like to play together. She actually met him through me when I used to associate with him. The two of us didn't have any problems, we just kinda grew apart as friends. Anyway, she would take the kids to his house every week on the same night. Usually for something like 8-9 hours. I don't question it because I trust my wife fully and even though I know that my buddy has always been promiscuous, I didn't think anything of it.

Last night, I needed to get into one of my wife's email accounts in order to set up our home network and the password didn't work anymore. So I had the account send the forgotten password to her other account that I did have access to. Now here's the thing.

Her password was my friend's nickname and DOB.

I breached the subject of us cheating on one another very subtly this morning and she even teared up a little when she swore to me that she would never cheat on me as the guilt would kill her. So I asked her for her password to the email account so I could do my work. She lied about the password, telling me she had an issue with the account. Then she changed the password in another room on our other PC and told me it was working again.

It should be known that we had some problems over the course of the past few months and there were even times when we barely spoke to one another. I'm not sure what to think. I believe her, but this juse seems like very strange behavior to me. Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot.

Your W has no business spending time with a person of the opposite sex, especially one you say is "promiscuous". I would say there are red flags here. Put a keylogger on her computer. Request that she no longer spend time with this "friend".

You know she lied about the password on her e-mail account.

So she is probably lying about everything else.

Two possibilities I see here:

1. Call her on her lie. Maybe she will admit to other lies.

2. Snoop to find out if something is really going on. At the very least, get a keylogger on that PC, because her next step is likely to create or use an e-mail account that only herslf and the friend knows about.

Of course the 8-9 hour visits to the friend's house will need to stop immediately.

Keep snooping!

Sounds like an EA at the very least.

Take advice from all the veterans on here.

Read EVERYTHING you can on this site.

Begin Plan A IMMEDIATELY even without confirmation of an A.

Good luck.
