Does anyone else see a story on their local news about a fatal accident of some kind, like a car crash or house fire, and hope for one fleeting second the the OP was the victim?
I've noticed myself doing this lately, but I think on a near-subconscious level I've been doing it since d-day. I feel like a guy who thinks he just might have the winning Powerball ticket as they are announcing the numbers. Of course, I always come away disappointed, too.
I've never seen a problem with wishing death on people. Wishing has no efect on reality, and it is certainly a healthy alternative to going out and making it happen myself.
But am I nuts? Am I the only BS who watches tragic stories on the local news the way a "normal" person would watch "Wheel of Fortune"?

what i wait and wish for is either that my ex will cheat on ow or that ow will cheat on him.
i wish that wayyyy more than death on them.
it would be so satisfying to see that happen.
that's my little slice of insanity.

mlhb That's not insane at all, in my opinion. Odds are, it's already happened!

The whole cheating scenario seems too nice to me. How about impotency? Dessert dry conditions? You know, they can still have each other but one or both are rendered defective and then they just get tossed away like a toy missing a very important part!

My thoughts really don't go to OW's very often, although I did have a bout with those thoughts for about a week. Now, I think along the lines of what mlhb said; wish that PWC gets a taste of what he has dealt (with the exception of not involving MORE children) not really as a punishment for him, but a tool of understanding, so that he can fully grasp what he had become and, hopefully, use it to better himself. I personally think him bettering himself is a pipe dream.
I HAVE wished PWC was dead many times, to be honest. The phone would ring and I had hoped it would be someone telling me he was in a terrible accident or something. I soooo wanted the source of my pain to be erradicated from this earth. It wasn't a nice time in my life, and I'm happy to not think those thoughts much anymore (yup, still have it now and then). His death would compound the issues in my son's life, honestly, and I really don't want him gone, just out of my life--which I am effectively doing with my PlanD.
Early on, I thought of what would happen if I died, almost like a child who is angry with their parent. I'm not much into dying, so I nixed that attitude lickety split.

I do! I do!
Mainly I wish that someday she will find some poor idiot to marry her. Then when she is 9 months pregnant, huge, insecure on if her husband will still find her attractive again, I hope that she finds out her husband is messing around with some young woman who has never had children and whose body doesn't have the battle scars. Then maybe she will have some idea of what she has done.
