Lol at both of you! Besides, everyone knows that when you're 20, red pumps don't hurt anyway. All the male admiration makes you float, so it's not like there's any pressure on your corns. Wait, you don't have corns, either.

Most people don’t know that back in 1912, Hellmann’s Mayonnaise was manufactured in England.

In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico, which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New York. This would have been the largest single shipment of mayonnaise ever delivered to Mexico. But, as we know, the great ship did not make it to New York. The ship hit an iceberg and sank, and the cargo was forever lost.

The People of Mexico, who were crazy about mayonnaise and were eagerly awaiting its delivery, were disconsolate at the loss. Their anguish was so great that they declared a National Day of Mourning, which they still observe to this day.

The National Day of Mourning occurs each year on May 5gh and is known, of course, as Sinko De Mayo

I love humor - and hate shoes that hurt my feet.

I can not smile while my feet hurt,

Just let me take those silly shoes off and I can laugh all day.

Wearing flip-flops to work again today.

I love pedicures.

Looking good, Neak. Now we have a roadwarrioress amongst us!

Mimi would be proud. I found a member today who didn't look good when hubby stopped by. I referred her IMMEDIATELY to this thread. She is probably burning her sweat shirts and sweat pants as you read.

Where are all goddesses? Just because mimi left to go on vacation (jealous, me, how can you think something like that?) we don't have to desert this thread.

I would really like to have a pedicure but I don't think that I could squeeze in a visit to a salon. I am awfully busy at work at the moment and all my spare time goes to kayaking and going out with friends (it is spring, you know). Any suggestion on what to do yourself at home?

When you have 5 kids and a full time, outside the home job, you do it on your lunch hour.

Multitasking is my life.

I like at home facials and masks, etc. I try to do home pedicures/french manicures on my toenails, but I'm not really that talented. Hair treatments are always nice and some steam on the face is always refreshing.

Olive oil is EXCELLENT for dry elbows.

Also, a rosemary infusion (water and crushed, fresh rosemary) is SO relaxing rubbed into tired muscles.

And A, a trick to do a French mani - cut masking tape into moon shapes and use it as a guide for the white part. When the white polish dries, take the tape off and then apply your top coat.

Good Morning all GODDESSES.....

It's been awhile since I last posted,,,,been lost in Plan C land...(that's C for confused/crazy/chicken.....lol). But seeing as I finally got out of there, I realized I was needing to get back to where it all began for me......and that is here amongst all my GODDESS girls....lol....

So lets see...run down of where I am...

still sitting pretty at 130 lbs. That would be a total weight lose of 42 lbs. Not too shabby for a mom of 3....have had to get a whole new wardrobe since nothing fit. Even the "skinny" clothes I never got rid of don't fit me.....yeah...now I still need some more clothes, but I got enough to get me started.....

Make-up....still putting on everyday. Still revert to my old ways on occasion, especially when I am doing major cleaning, but that is easily corrected....

Hair....have kept up with my coloring and hair cuts. That in itself is amazing. Also, I keep up with styling it most of the time. Like I said, I slip into old habit once in awhile (usually only for a day....actually, its more like 1/2 day....), but this too is farther than I have been in years....

clothes....keeping up with the trends. Found out I love Express at the mall. Down side?? My DD14 gets frusterated because I now where SOME things that she would wear...she doesn't like that at all....oh well, better to be the "hip" mom than the old maid mom....

Pedi...still get those done regularly....this is actually my treat, because I love getting those....

waxing....keeping up with that as well..Actually found out that when I keep up with it, it doesn't hurt as much...who knew???

So that is where it is at ladies....

now for in GODDESS sanctuary....still lagging there....BUT...I am in the process of turning that around again....

lots of love to you all.....

Cinderalla--Neak says to tell you she'll probably be in your area today when it's possible to visit briefly, but she'll let you know later on when the time is more definite.
I still haven't clicked on that feminine hygiene products aisle thread yet for fear of the dreaded price check.

Well, my next feat to attempt is making fondant from scratch! EEEEK  It's supposed to taste better than the stuff you can order because it's made with Marshmallow. We shall see.

My DS 6th b-day is coming up in less than two weeks and I am going to attempt to make him an Indiana Jones themed cake; the boulder booby trap scene from "Raiders of the Lost Ark" (as close as an amateur baker can get).

If y'all have any expertise or helpful tips, I'm game.
