Thanks, NMDreams!!

His ex wife was one classy lady. They certainly did not portray her correctly in the movie. But then, it's Hollywood!

This discussion reminds me of another movie with Diane Lane and Richard Gere. I think it was called Unfaithful.

Now, if you only saw the first half of the movie you'd think it was pro-affair...but the second half is like watching a completely different movie. I won't give the ending away except to say that the second half involves what happens after the D-day of Richard Gere's character.

I think the acting was excellent.

Agree. That was an excellent movie. What was interesting to me was how clearly they showed Diane Lane's ADDICTION to the OM. They got that. They understood the dynamics of an affair. I have watched that movie about 10 times and find it fascinating. And you are right, they do not glorify the affair at all. They show the terrible fallout in a realistic light.

I've never seen it, and probably never will, but I hope it ends with Gere slaughtering someone.

They may not have intended to glorify affairs, but all I ever heard about that movie is "how hot Diane Lane's sex scenes were". sick

Is the whole world really that ignorant and oblivious, or are they just that immoral and lacking in integrity?

Either way, I need my own planet.

Hey Pep, Odd Hours comes out this month. I just finished The Good Guy, too. Almost as good, OK as good, as Odd.

In my ordering

Odd Thomas
The Good Guy
Forever Odd
Brother Odd (he jumped the shark already in this one)

That means my husband (father to our children) would have been rightly slaughtered by OW's H .... I'll take that under advisement wink

Now see, I didn't see that at all. I read, even before I saw the movie, that Roseanne Cash refused to see the movie because she did not like the way it portrayed her mother. But now, to me anyway, I thought they protrayed her very well and very classy. She was a betrayed wife and she handled it better and classier than I ever have. The outburst scene, again, only saw it as a woman who was deeply hurt in the worst way possible.

And for UNFAITHFUL....I saw it before my WS A. I liked it as well. But I have since learned that he and BOW watched that movie as well....YUCKY.....though they didn't seem to learn anything by it, since the affair continued after they watched it....maybe I SHOULD have gone all Richard-Gere on her a$$.....

Not unless your H was sleeping with one of our wives!

Shortly after D-day I looked my W in the eye and told her that if OM's BW shot her in the back, she had it coming.

At least I'm no hypocrite.

I thought they portrayed her as kind of cold, but I do think the outburst scene was right on the money!!

BTW, I've been reading your thread, just rarely ever post, Not2, and I'm really rooting for you!!! I discovered MB about a month before my divorce was final and I did everything wrong. You are doing great!

Yeah, I saw it with my Ex WS before his affair also. Back when we both condemned affairs!
