Hmmm, maybe I should clean my bathroom then take a bubble bath with the bubble bath stuff and candles my daughter got me. Have a glass of red wine w/ it.

Oh YES! A bubble bath with a glass of wine is most DEFINATLEY on my to do list tonight!

I was just waiting for Baby Bugs to call, which she just did. Seems they got a Slip & Slide at Drac's house today. Lots of fun, but they are still outside & she was cold,,,poor baby!

I really NEED that bath after having to hear the Ho's voice in the background during the call. Gotta wash that sound away with the soothing bubbles, good wine, and the scent of my favorite candles!

I think I might even do a pedicure, too!

Oh, yes! That is a necessity w/ the bath.

Unfortunately, the only electrical outlet in my bathroom is wired to the light switch. The house was built before they invented the light dimmer switch. So, if the lights are out our low in the bathroom, there is not enough electricity to power the radio or cd player. That has to be plugged in somewhere else and dragged to the bathroom!

Yuck!

BTW, not all music qualifies for bathtime.

Good to see the tide of change this evening. Whew.

lotsa goddesses coming out in droves tonight. Good job!

I did some gardening today, pulling weeds, pruning things here and there. me and the little guy threw the football around for a bit. We then went to the cake store to buy food color paste to dye my fondant brown and gray and green, for the Indiana Jones cake. We ended the evening with a dip in the spa.

Talked to DS about right and wrong, and his daddy's choices today, which was prompted by questions DS has had and the thread about telling the kids the truth.

Sat in bed and buffed my fingernails to a high shine, oiling my cuticles. I am too tired to work on my feet right now. May make time for that tomorrow.

Stay strong and beautful y'all.

Man, I wish I could have a nice glass of wine right now. But, at least I can still do the bubble bath, candles, and Mozart...woohoo!

You know, I'm still waiting for my favorite album to be released on CD. Don't know that it will ever happen. It's an old Nat King Cole album, "Looking Back".

Mimi,

I'm glad you're still here... I really don't know what was going on earlier but I'm just glad you didn't leave....

I meant what I said about being a blessing to myself and to others here...

MIMI, you are such a blessing to so many here, please, don't jump ship. You keep so many straight and on the right path!! For 'rella, maybe you could get some of those LED stick on battery powered lights...you know the kind they sell on TV, you can find them on the "as seen on TV aisle" at CVS. About 10 bucks, 3 or 4 to a pkg. You could stick those under your mirror for ambient lighting..just a thought.

OT if anyone has any cardiac recipes for a guy who is in the dire straights and in the throws of cardiac disease, could you please share them with me? I am working so hard on his diet and now I seem to have all of his blood test numbers well below normal limits....but his cardiac drugs have just elevated his AST, which we are addressing. I just need help with some really good tasting foods. FYI the bratwurst is not your friend, nor is bacon, or butter, or on and on and anything he likes. Doc had a come to Jesus meeting with him and he finally got on board with eating properly after he was told his next stop was bypass.
His food affair is almost as hard as his EA!!!! Thanks in advance for all the great recipes and tips I'm sure you will share! GF

I saw a cartoon the other day and I'm pondering what to do about it's message.

It was a doctor talking to a patient. The caption read:

So, which is more convenient, exercising an hour a day or being dead 24 hours a day?

Well, Duh!! I got it over 18 months ago, when his first stents were put in! Him, Nahhh he'd exercise, He'd get it done, never happened. Our cardiologist was too nice!! Well, then he was, not so much now. You know, it was almost like he was still in the wayward mindset. I caught him hiding cashews in the backseat of his truck, sneaking the doritos out of the house that he was gonna "give to his workers" on and on. I finally called DIL and stocked her cabinets with every "wayward food" that was in our house. Now she and my S compain that I don't have any "real" food in our house. When they eat with us, I think they are treated to a very healthy meal. My FWH also is onboard with me now, since his blood levels have dropped and I actually heard him telling DD,RN that , "thanks to me" he is on the right track now. Time will tell. He's losing weight at the rate of 1/2 to 1 lb per week. I think this is good, since we are into YET another lifestyle change. We will get it done, grill season is here, it should be awesome...at least I think it will be if I can just not char the veggies! Thanks for that insight 'Rella, he's gonna hear it tommorow AM. GF

You need to grill him some veggie meats.

Morningstar Farms has some great ones to try. The Grillers are uber-yummy, and the Chik-patties not far behind. AJ also sometimes grills pieces of canned veggie steak, it's from either Loma Linda or Worthington, can't remember which.

What is too funny, is he's even gotten his brother hooked on Grillers, now. His brother is a "there's room for all God's creatures...right next to the potatoes" kind of guy, but now he eats Grillers and also the veggie bacon every chance he gets.

At least around here, Safeway and some of the super Wal Marts have these much cheaper than anywhere else. (Safeway does not have them cheap all the time, but every couple of months puts them on sale for about $3-3.50 per box. I stock up then.)

There will be little or no cholesterol, and usually 1/3 to 1/2 less fat. Not to mention that since it is a plant product, it digests much more quickly and easily than meat.

AJ is king of the veggie BBQ.

Thank you!!

Mimi- Sorry, I was just going to sit back and watch, but I really have to come along side my sister (YOU) and support her.

And Mel, I HAVE been on my email today. Haven't ever done that before. But I have 37 emails now from members here, who are not feeling safe. I didn't ask for them to email me.

So let's just continue marriage building without the behind the scenes mocking.

And all I can say about that is I rebuke Satan for coming here.

I have NO idea what this drama was about....BUT...this "feeling safe" crap on these boards really has gone too far. People have a right to express themselves, without regard to MB terms of service, when they are on another site. Do you think I don't know I get slammed from some posters that don't like what/how or to whom I post? Of course I know. Bottom line is, I really don't give a rats behind. The question is...why does everybody here get their panties in a wad wondering what the latest gossip might be....who gives a flying poop?

Post here in a mannner that YOU think is helpful...you will reach people that identify with your style. I haven't changed my posting style one bit from the time I arrived here....no matter what people say about me. I am willing to listen to those I respect and learn from them...but beyond that..it goes in one ear and out the other.

Goodbye threads are ridiculous too. If someone wants to leave...then leave. Stop with the over dramatization of prolonged griping and goodbyes on this board. It smacks of a call out to others to say how wonderful you really are.

Most people are here to help others in the best way that they know how. How about we stick to that and leave all the soul speaking drama for daytime TV.

Yes, MEDC, and you are a wonderful example for some of the goddesses here. You are all about straight talking and owning your beliefs.
