A GODDESS purposefully and meaningfully celebrates her womanhood in whatever way that she personally defines it.

I'm of the GIRLIE-GIRLIE variety but there are ALL KINDS OF US...

At least stick to the BASICS of DAILY HYGIENE, NO SWEATS (they do not CELEBRATE WOMANHOOD) and MAKING UP YOUR BED...

----------------------------------------------------------------

This here GODDESS was certainly in the BLAHS yesterday and did resort to her FIGHT OR FLIGHT PATTERN which does result in GOODBYE CRUEL WORLD POSTS but does get me that needed ATTENTION...just kidding..but MEDC is onto something there... wink

We ALL make mistakes and have to just KEEP TRYING..and GET BACK UP ON THE HORSE..that's ALL we can do...

So this morning/today, I'm doing my FULL/ALL-OUT ROUTINE...IRONED my outfit..layered the cologne on the shower gel..all the MAKEUP stuff, of course, ASKED my DH to "take me out" to eat which he loves, makes him feel like he's "DATING"...out to buy groceries and to get my car washed beforehand...

ONWARD AND UPWARD...

Thanks MEDC, for the reminders. I rarely give a flying fart what people think of me. I appreciate when someone puts my patoot back in line when I'm being an [censored], but otherwise, I am who I am. It's even too much work for me to try and find this chat room y'all elude to. I don't have enough time on my hands to use this board to it's full advantage AND go elsewhere to slam y'all. I'll just slam ya here, okay? wink

Just doing some cleaning, as usual. The house gets furry during the week, from the dogs and kitty, and I like to clean my room, dust, make it smell nice, change linens.

Maybe I'll actually cook something that takes effort tonight. With just me and DS here, between work and activities, I don't cook nearly as much as I used to. I keep telling myself to get back to it, but I keep finding other stuff to do.

LOL, SL.........

Do you ever use a crockpot? I got a whole ton of recipes off recipezaar that take less than 5 minutes to prepare for a crockpot. Then I go do other things.

But I love to cook, so that makes a difference. I use the crockpot a lot during the week, because I don't get home from work until 6:00PM and it is nice to have dinner ready.

I do have a crock pot and lots of recipes. I've really just put cooking on the back burner. HA. Get it...BACK BURNER! I crack myself up.

I think I'll take your advice, though and put a pork roast in for BBQ.

Thanks B.

It must be such a burden for certain folks to be a self appointed savior, while stabbing them in the back elsewhere. But these wise self appointed saviors really should have their own chat room. How else can they maintain their sanity amoungst all of us insane folks. laugh

Speaking for myself, there is only one Savior, and He was nailed to a cross on Calvary. That is where, for me, my salvation lies, nowhere else.

Now what is it about this bubble bath thing that we men don't know about? When i clean up, i prefer to be hit with a fire hose and remark, wasn't that great? cry

all blessings,
Jerry

I don't know if it classifies as cardiac recipes but I found a cute book with Greek food in a second hand store.
http://www.amazon.com/Little-Greek-...mp;s=books&qid=1211147397&sr=1-1

Mediterranean food is supposed to be healthy and many of the dishes in the books are based on vegetables. I have tried a few of them and they are easy to cook and really tasty. I particularly like Briami (baked zucchini with potato and tomatoes) and also stuffed vegetables. Please let me know if you want me to post some recipes.

By the way, I got some advice about cleaning from a pro. One of my friends used to clean offices when she was a student. She has told me that they always did the basics like cleaning the floors and the desks but every time they did something extra, like cleaning the light switches or the paintings or the doors. It was not much work but everything was always clean.

One year ago tonight, the BS limped up to a podium and gave out scholarships as a wounded PTA person.

One year later, 87 lbs lighter, healthier in many ways and so grateful to you, I will gracefully walk up to the podium looking my absolute best with a fresh suntan and presently hand out scholarships with a smile on my face and love in my heart becaue of you who have made a difference in my life. Thank you...

Any success I have tonight is because of G-d, you and AA.

Mimi,

My HEAD'S UP, CHEST OUT AND GRATITUDE ON MY HEART TO BE A WARRIOR GODDESS.

cool

You would have been so PROUD of me...

What a totally blessed night. It dawned on me that as these kids starting receiving their scholarships, I had many of them years ago as students at my school. Oh how they have grown and matured.

What an honor for me to hand them out money and be a part of their lives knowing.

This was your victory as well as mine because so many people haven't seen me for a year and they were pretty stunned.

thank you so much......

It always touches me when people here, total strangers in so many ways, show me that they love me, believe in me, care for me, cheer for me, cry with me, laugh with me.

ALWAYS TOUCHES ME!

Glad you had such a triumphant night. You deserve it!!!

this night was ALL OURS SUCCESSES because of YOUR hard work in not giving up on me.

I imagined you all out in the audience and I spoke with strength and love in my voice because WE ON HERE, once TOTAL strangers but part of our lives for how long, we don't really know, but then again forever in so many ways. You are right, I think that most of us on here do sincerely care for each other and we can be so proud of that.

And that's G-d's blessing. You are so right JT... G-d turns the horrific stuff into good.

Almost... But this GODDESS still has LOTS to lose and can't let up now.... G-d is counting on her to take care of her new body, spirit and soul while he creates a blessing for her.

One day, G-d willing I will truly understand, but when that day happens it won't be because of me, but because of you and so many others who loved me when I hated myself.

You woman are the inspiration in my life. You are the gift from G-d.

Dueteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong to the LORD our G-d, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.

So, we don't always know in this lifetime. What is amazing to me, though, is those moments of revelation.
