Nice to meet you all. Sorry it is under these circumstances.

Actually, I am writing for a friend that I am going to show this to in hopes that she will begin coming here. She really needs some friends right now. She is carrying the burden of her husbands affair all alone. He will not talk to her or anyone else about it and does not want her talking to anyone either.

I am going to send her the link to this page and her new password - please welcome her and give her a hand.

Thanks,

Welcome,
I know it is tough to get started here - but come on in! We are just a bunch of hurting people like yourself. Come tell your story - we will listen and maybe even be able to help you a little. At least you will have someone to talk to.

You are a great friend...go it one step further. Get her Dr. Harley's "Surviving an Affair"...a book which explains a lot of what she's going through...a great comfort and it has active plans she can do to save her marriage.

Even if she doesn't want to post...encourage her to read all the articles on the website...about Love Busters, Emotional Needs...Coping with Infidelity and the Basic Concepts.

She can even print out and fill out questionnaires here, which will help her...helped me when I was in her shoes...

I ditto the recommendation on Dr. Harley's book, "Surviving an Affair". You, or she will be amazed at the many things common to almost all affairs.

One thing she should do, though likely she won't want to, is to expose her WH's affair, to his family, friends, employers, etc. Tell her not to warn her WH, just do it. He'll be very furious, and will tell her that she blew it, and their marriage is over. Assure her, that they all say that. Yet, most eventually come back. Affairs can thrive only in secrecy.

Encourage her to post here. She's in for a really tough time, and there are lots of people here who can relate and offer good advice.
