Wow! I haven't been to MB for a long time. It's taken a cold, rainy Memorial Day to bring me back to the warm arms of this forum. Strange how so many of the names are familiar from when I first stumbled on this site over 3 1/2 years ago as a newly betrayed wife.
There are people I can never thank enough. I'm delighted that Mimi, Believer, Melodylane, BobPure and many others are still out there helping people. MB got me through some of the lowest moments of my life. I'm so happy this resource is available to those in need.
It's strange how it takes so much time to heal. Hope all are well here!

It's strange how it takes so much time to heal. Hope all are well here! I know I will never completely 'heal'. I was deeply committed emotionally and the rending caused me great anguish. There are so many triggers which bring the past to the foreground I will never be entirely free from it. Learning to remain rational when the pain and anger resurface is what occupies my time. She was very abusive during much of the marriage and she was needlessly cruel at the end when she wanted to continue her affair with a co-worker. There are days when it requires herculian restraint not to beat her to within an inch of her life. No, I will never entirely 'heal'.
