i found the file in outlook that is called archive.pst. When i try to open it, it puts it in what looks like a new email message with that file (archive.pst) as an attachment. When you click on that file icon in the body of the message, it won't open....it just makes another new email message with that as an attachment....
help.....i'm confused (the file is also 10mg)
if i try to import it, i can't find where it is putting it.....should i import it to same folder as source or in my personal folder (i.e. Archive personal folder)
Sorry i am so dense.....

Hi Zombie:
You have several choices here. The one most likely to produce some readable text is to import the file into your folders. However you may be able to view it from the attachment file.
When you see the little attachement document Icon at the bottom of what appears to be an email screen, just click with the "right" button then click QuickView. It might say this is not a supported viewer, do you want to see it anyway? just click yes. You should then see a bunch of gobbly [censored] with some readable text. The junks stuff is encrypted header information but most of the text of the messages should be readable unless they were encrypted orignally. If they were encrypted then its not going to be recoverable...
OK
Flip
