Well, OM goes nuts and shoots husband, wife's son and wife, then runs for it using family car that was running outside.

If memory serves, husband was 37, wife 38, son 22 (interesting) and OM 27. Affair started at work. OM was a stalker.

Any doubt that affairs are just crazy?

No. But to be fair, plenty of shootings and killings by spouses of spouses occur without any affair shenanigans going on.
