I was just told by my wife that she wants to divorce. No if, ands, or buts. What are my next steps? I'll be talking to a lawyer in the next few days, but what do I do other than that?

If you don't want it, tell her you will not be cooperating, that you only talk marriage, not divorce.

Follow the methods here for being the best person ever so that she may like the changes and change her mind.
