I'm glad you bumped this, I missed it the first time.
I'm so happy to see that you and JL are still here, providing sage advice. You have such clarity of thought, and such patience it is always a joy to read your posts.
I'm stupid happy. I have a good job, kids are doing well in school and every other way, H and I are best friends and playmates. Things absolutely could not be any better.
I actually hopped on here because I see one of our young adult kids making stupid mistakes in his R with his long time girlfriends, and she's a gem. Made me want to refresh what I'd learned here and of course I got sucked into the forums.
Thank you so much for this post, it made my day.

I am watching my son make similar mistakes with his long term GF and it is so sad to watch. I guess thats how they learn. I sure miss your posts, turtlehead. They were always so right on.
