If what you say Is true, then 20% of the males will have locked in 80% of our females, and there would be no reason for the rest of the males to even try to compete! Us leftovers would be trying to decide on the best knitting class to take. Of course, about 30% of the 80% of females would eventually become dissatisfied with lack of attention and affection, and they would significantly lower their standards to pursue the best of the leftovers. And, on and on!
I know this is absurd, but am going thru similar and I find this outlook helpful to me. It seems like the "non-compete" clause we usually associated with marriage is now dead. It's more like what have you done for me lately, and are we getting to the "Super Bowl" thiis year!
You are in competition even if you don't realize. You cannot move on successfully without really discussing the relavant facts with her, as my wife and I are trying to do now. You need to know Her view of your strengths and your weaknesse, and her committment level for playing on your team only. Then you both need to call time out to coinsider. Aren't many guys (one-half of the team) with the superior talents, skills, attitude, appearance, and yes the beef all at the same time!
And, don't forget - if you're not convinced by her sincerety and committment you can always trade up!
Good Luck,
Best of thoughts and prayers,
simplyTom
