Brand new here...I came home from work three weeks ago and he had cleaned everything out that was his. There is nothing for him to come back for but his mail he never forwarded. We have no children together but had five as a blended family. There is no reason for him to contact me ever again. What to do?

What to do?

Your post was too thin and lacked details -

Can you provide more details?

Infidelity?
Abuse?
Drugs?
Crazy-making?

What is going on?

Hi Pep,

There was a lot of verbal abuse and two instances of physical. He tried to control me. He was very selfish and expected me to do everything for him and didn't give very much in return. Everyone told me to stand up for myself and when I did, he started really withdrawing. He has a very dominant personality and I am pretty quiet and subserving. It wasn't always bad though. We used to go to church together and things always seemed better then. We were married for seven years.

Sorry Pep. It is still hard to talk about right now. I feel like I am lost in another dimension.

think

Sounds like you and your kid(s) are likely better off without a physically and verbally abusive person in the house.

He abuses you two ways and abandoned you.

Would you really want him back?

He wasn't always an abuser. When he went to church regularly he was the sweetest husband. He has been away from God for the past year and that's when it all started. I think of the times when it was really good and wonder why we can't have that back.

Because he is making bad choices.

I've never attended a church regularly. Heck, I'm a borderline atheist.

I've never even raised a hand to my wife, not even on d-day.
