We are trying to come up with a name other than my first which the child from the affair my husband had would call me. It seems haveing the child call me by my first name appeard distant. I have heard of children from these types of situations calling their non BM, mommy also. Or maybe Mommy ---then their first name. Have any ideas. Let me know. Thank you.

i would think that you would have the child call you whatever the rest of the com call you
here grace (child from fh's A) calls me daddy since she lives at our house 90% of the time. when here she refers to her bio as poppy. that is what his kids called him.
she has told her mom that om has started having the kids call him daddy also
i have also heard of the use of mommy followed by your 1st name

When my OC was born I spent a week with her before she went to her adoptive family. I was called Mommy Leslie where she was called Mommy Tammy.
