My wife and are in the process of getting divorced after 4 years of marriage. We have a 2 year old son. When my wife was pregnant, she constantly reminded me of how miserable she was and how she wished she hadn’t kept “it”. After he was born, she basically wanted nothing to do with him. I don’t think she even loves our son, and she has resented me since she got pregnant. I have always wanted a big family, and she has decided that she "hates" kids. We decided to get divorced. Well, suddenly she said that she wants custody of Joshua. I’m scared and pissed off because I don’t know what will happen to him if she wins custody.

I've been using http://www.custodywarriors.com (really helpful), but are there any other dads here who have been in a similar situation? What did you do?

Jackpot baby.

Pay her off and take your son.

Hi jame84

I put a call out for medc (make every day count)in General Questions II. He's a full-custody dad and has a lot of insights in this area.

If you live in a state that allows 1 party consent for tape recording conversations...get something on tape that speaks to her hating being a mom.

Start documenting everything that happens.

Get a bull dog attorney that specializes in dad's rights.

Ask your wife what it will take for you to get full custody....then meet her price. She is most likely just using him as a pawn.

Has she been evaluated for postpartum depression.

If she has EVER been violent with your child...or threatened him in any way make sure you bring this up to your lawyer.

NEVER let her take him away without a court order. NEVER! We have another James here that is going through a horrible situation. You would do well to read his thread and learn from his early mistakes.

FIGHT...when you get weary...fight harder.
