My only guess is that McCain has had his adulterous eyes on this Alaskan pageant queen for awhile now.

Cindy McCain...watch your back, what he'll do with you...he'll do to you.

That was my first thought as well.

Then I thought, "She is going to debate Joe Biden?"

Mr. W...your posts are getting more and more bizarre.

She was picked for her gender and conservative approach.

Wow crazy...emphasis on the "she" shows where you are at.

What do you know about her?

Obama picked a running mate to counter his weaknesses. McCain did the same.

I see both as being iffy choices.

Sure!

I'm sure Biden could crib some notes from prior VP debates....

Who told you that?

John McSame??

And you believe/trust John McSame because???????

My wayward radar tells me he picked the hottest chick with any conservative record that he could hopefully bag.

Waywards don't consider what's in it for everyone else, it's only their own entitlement they are worried about. Of course, they need a good cover story...hence the need to, at least, select a politician. I'm certain he'd select Ms. Hooters International if he thought it would fly.

It's a sad day when America's potential Vice President is selected by a adulterer merely because he thinks she's hot.

Sarah Palin is no Hillary Clinton.

See IMHO, these two cancel each other out. Her gender may make her more acceptable to undecided women, but her pro-life (i.e. anit-choice) position will turn women away.

Why would women support another woman who was against women's rights?

A lot of women don't see butchering unborn babies as a right.

Johnny Cochran speaks again. Throw mud, pretend it is true. Gas-lighting.

Thank God for that.

sounds like a description of the abortion crowd.

I'd sooner trust a wayward spouse than a butcher.

It's an even sadder day for America when a candidate (Obama) picks Joe Biden because of their shared homosexual tendencies.

Mr. W

Pro-life female politicians are no more 'against women's rights' than Susan B. Anthony was. Check out the Feminists For Life website:

http://www.feministsforlife.org/taf/index.htm

Pro-abort organizations like N.O.W. do NOT represent the POV of most females.

A better question IMHO is why would female voters support a politician, male or female, who sides with the abortion industry that lies to, exploits, and harms women and their babies?

Women deserve better, are demanding better, and the politicians are listening. Both the democratic and republican parties are making statements acknowledging that women deserve much better than abortion. Real feminists refuse to 'choose' to abort.

For all Obama's talk about 'change'... on the issue of abortion he sides with the status quo, defends the abortion industry, and opposes the changes that pro-life feminists want. Very few people, male or female, actually endorse the current legal status of abortion; very few people endorse the cruelty of denying care to a baby who survives abortion... but Obama does. When it comes to the legal status of abortion being changed to what the voting citizenry really approve of, Obama is ANTI-CHANGE.

yep, he voted with the Dems on that one. Shows he is willing to vote his beliefs and not always the party line...you know, like BA.

I am worried about you lately Mr. W.

If McCain is elected, abortion will still be legal when he leaves office...just like it was when every other Republican president left office since Roe v. Wade.

Instead of basing your vote on an issue that Republicans clearly have no intention of touching with a ten-foot pole, why not base your vote on other issues that matter to the already-born?

Your just exposing more holes in your argument.

You see, the "undecided" women aren't the one's who would describe abortion in your extremist terms. They are the Hillary Clinton supporters and are pro-choice.

... and BTW, based on the tone of the Democratic National Convention, I'd say those Hillary supporters are no longer "undecided" and will fully support the Obama/Biden ticket.

IMHO, this VP pick just illustrates how disconnected McCain is with his far right base, who are not sending in the checks like they have in the past. The Palin pick for VP shows how he's pandering to his base, by giving them a true conservative (unlike himself), so they will be more willing to reach for their checkbooks.

This pick has DESPERATION written all over it.

Exactly, it has always amazed me that conservatives would fight for a child to be born into a situation where it was UNWANTED, which to me speaks of true "child abuse".

Republicans will fight for the rights of a child right up until the point of when its BORN, then that child is "on its own" with no protection whatsoever from their form of government.

Yeah, the next President may get a chance to appoint some Supreme Court justices.

Anyone who thinks a Democrat-controlled Congress is going to approve enough conservative judges to have Roe v. Wade overturned is delusional.

Most Americans (including pro-abortion folks) believe that infanticide is deplorable!

I wouldn't put any money on that.
