I'm really trying hard to improve my marrage, but it seems my wife doesn't think its a priority. I've been an information freak looking for a way to bring us back together. However she has turned down the counceling option because she thinks it's stupid. She just keeps her felings inside and i can't get to her. I'm starting to feel like there is nothing I can do. How can it work with only one person really concerned? Any ideas out there on her to get my wife to make a conscience effort into really trying. whether that be counceling or simply opening up to find out what she needs or wants?
P.S. I'm a horrible speller sorry

The best thing you can do first is to read up about Love Busters (LBs) and Emotional Needs (ENs), and make sure you're doing the right thing in those areas. It doesn't matter how much she tells you or doesn't, if the marriage isn't as strong as it can be. Following these things will strengthen your marriage, and make her feel closer to you, so that she may later feel safe enough to counsel with you. Or you may find that you are so happy together you don't need the counseling. MB also recommends that you and she get 15 hours together each week that is just 'you' time - having fun together, reconnecting, talking, remembering why you got married. Focus on those 3 things, and let us know how it goes.
