So, I was googling my name the other day, just because it had been mentioned to me that you could find out a lot about a person by doing that. I was wondering what would happen if I googled my own. Well, first off, I found there a lot of people with my name (never realized it was so common). I did find a few things associated with my name but nothing I was concerned about. Anything I found I knew was public knowledge anyway.

I scroll down a bit and lo and behold, there is my soon to be exh's name (it did matches on my full name, just my first name, and just my last name when I typed in my whole name) on a wedding registry page with ow! Of course, I was lmao at this point, especially not knowing when this page was done and considering she just started spreading them again for my ex after finishing up with some other guy she used for a few months (read my other post).

Anyway, I click on the site of course as I just had to. It is pretty lame and pretty brief. Gives a wedding date of sept 12, 2008. Well, imagine that, our divorce isn't even final yet. LMAO!
There is a section for "our story" and I just have to read that. Oh, so romantic, they met back in 2003 when she joined the fire dept he was on. She neglected to tell the part about both of them being married at the time! About having a 3 year long affair! Oh, but that wouldn't be too good to print. She then says something like "no wedding date yet, we are not even engaged yet!" hmmmm... Thank God for small favors.

After lmao, I realized how stupid she is. She just gave me exactly what I need to PROVE they were in an affair, as she put down the date they met and started dating! Thank you ow, I will be taking that with my to my appt with my attorney when I discuss the visitation with him.

Too funny. rotflmao

As Forest Gump said, stupid is as stupid does! What a great idea - too bad my OW's name is so common - I don't know if her registry will flip to the first page or not. It is certainly worth a try!

Yup. She made it public information. I think publicity might deserved. Stupid is as stupid does.

wow, so you are going to put me in the same category as my adulterous husband who actively had several affairs while we were still very married? I did not date anyone until ONE YEAR after our legal separation, and well over a year after I threw him out. Neither wanted of us wanted the marriage, we were NOT going to reconcile, and at the time neither one of us could afford to file for a divorce. Not that I feel I need to explain myself, but I was NOT having an affair.

I was googling my OWN name and just simply found it funny "haha" funny that there was this registry. Maybe not so much funny about the registry, because who knows, maybe they will get married (God help my children), more funny as to what was written in it.

Funny "haha" funny that there was a wedding date of next week when the divorce is not final yet. Funny "haha" that unless my ex plans to be a bigamist I am sure that date is not happening. Funny "haha" that the romantic story of how they met was in 2003 when my ex and I were still very actively married and she was engaged and got married the following year. Funny "haha" that if it is so romantic, why not mention those tidbits as well.

I was NOT googling their names. I google mine and found this.
Have I looked at their myspaces since I found the crap about exbf? nope. Do I actively seek info on them or anything else? nope.

I simply found it funny "haha" amusing is all.

I do not care if they do get married, my main concern is my children if they do because of the fact she has not treated them well and threw them out of her home just a few short months ago. Because of that concern, when I saw a wedding registry you are da*mn right I clicked on it.

Differences of opinion, it is what makes the world go round.

People have differing opinions on whether it would be considered an affair or not.

You were still married at the time that you started dating.

Bad...bad...choice considering that you are STILL concerned with what he and she are doing. Why do you care?? Unless, you are still vested?... uhuh

Your "just HAD to" click on the site is indicative of someone who is NOT finished with that marriage. You are staying too meshed in it...and don't use the ruse of doing it for the kids. You are staying in it for mlhb...and the drama.

ETA You appear to want to use the "not divorced" card when it suits you. You don't want to use it when it applies to you "dating". You want to use it when it applies to him. I thought that you might have learned your lesson the last time you went plowing through other people's websites. Childish, childish behavior if you ask me. WHY do you keep doing it?

agree 100% IF MLHB would never decide to take him back. There does seem to be a problem with letting go and moving on...I don't think dating is remotely wise until there is ambivalence about what the stbx is doing(except as it pertains to the kids).

That was worth bolding.

You can tell when a person is really finished with a relationship by their behavior.

This isn't behavior from a person finished.

Thanks for putting it in one sentence medc. That was perfect.

Normally, I don't put my two cents in regarding stuff like this, but I'm jumping in here...Michelle, I had no idea that you weren't divorced yet, and I would agree with the others here, until you let it all go and truly and honestly close that chapter, and finalize that divorce, you will find it very difficult to move on to the next chapter. I know of what I speak, because it took me a good 2 years to really and truly close the book on my marriage (after the divorce was done) before I even became remotely ready to date.........I know it must be terribly difficult to do when you have children, because the ex will always be a part of your life, but you can't consider yourself totally "over it" until this type of stuff stops completely.

OK - go ahead, chomp my head off - I'm ready............I can take it.
