So, I was googling my name the other day, just because it had been mentioned to me that you could find out a lot about a person by doing that. I was wondering what would happen if I googled my own. Well, first off, I found there a lot of people with my name (never realized it was so common). I did find a few things associated with my name but nothing I was concerned about. Anything I found I knew was public knowledge anyway.

I scroll down a bit and lo and behold, there is my soon to be exh's name (it did matches on my full name, just my first name, and just my last name when I typed in my whole name) on a wedding registry page with ow! Of course, I was lmao at this point, especially not knowing when this page was done and considering she just started spreading them again for my ex after finishing up with some other guy she used for a few months (read my other post).

Anyway, I click on the site of course as I just had to. It is pretty lame and pretty brief. Gives a wedding date of sept 12, 2008. Well, imagine that, our divorce isn't even final yet. LMAO!
There is a section for "our story" and I just have to read that. Oh, so romantic, they met back in 2003 when she joined the fire dept he was on. She neglected to tell the part about both of them being married at the time! About having a 3 year long affair! Oh, but that wouldn't be too good to print. She then says something like "no wedding date yet, we are not even engaged yet!" hmmmm... Thank God for small favors.

After lmao, I realized how stupid she is. She just gave me exactly what I need to PROVE they were in an affair, as she put down the date they met and started dating! Thank you ow, I will be taking that with my to my appt with my attorney when I discuss the visitation with him.

Too funny. rotflmao

all the more reason I need to protect my children.

If those two low lifes actually do get married my poor children will have a step mommy dearest. Eh, it won't last again I am sure. But, I'd rather they stay as far away from that mess as possible.

Hope my lawyer agrees with me.

their affair or their getting married will have nothing to do with a change in custody.

The ONLY thing that will be considered is the best interests of your children. You will need to show why he is an unfit parent....and in the eyes of the court, his getting married will NOT show that....and sadly, it may harm you to bring it up as you could be seen as being bitter.
Be careful.

This is a wedding registry page?

It gives a wedding date of Sept 12, 2008?

It says there is no wedding date yet because they aren't even engaged?

think dontknow skeptical confused crazy

Am I missing something or is this woman unclear on the concept?

medc: in all honesty, i don't care if they get married and i do apologize if my post made it look like i was going to think that his marrying her would make a difference. i know that it won't.
what i want to do is as you have said: protect my children and do what is best for them. i can now show from what she posted on that registry that they were in fact having an affair so i can prove that she was indeed his affair partner. she listed the year 2003 and during that and the following year my ex and i were most assuredly still married and sleeping together. and she was married as well. she married in the summer of 2004 so she basically started with my ex BEFORE she and her now exh married.

i can honestly say i do not have any bitterness towards him. he may date or marry whomever he chooses. however, i will do whatever i need to do to protect my children.

i found huge amounts of humor in coming across that page, had a very good laugh!

Depending on your jurisdiction, it may not make a difference if you have proof of an affair or not. I know for a fact that here it does not - in fact it can backfire. I know of one case where the WH got extra custody because he could provide a "stable home" since he was living high off the hog with his OW while the poor BW was struggling to find a job since she'd been a SAHM up until d-day. <<<shiver>>> I hate when I think about today's society.

I still think what you found is hilarious whether you can put it to use or not. Nothing came up for my google search but it could have to do with OW now trying to get authority to change her DD's name to Wstbx's (I think she wants to be able to do that for when they get married).

That is hilarious. My EXWW did the same thing with her myspace page. I got tons of evidence, including mental stability. I don't need it now. She calls and cries to me about her problems, so now she hands me everything I need to never lose custody.

I am glad she's getting the help she needs though.

As for google. I have the same name as a restaurant tycoon in Houston, so there's 30 pages of him that come up first.

My mom has a jar of mayhaw jelly with my name on it that she keeps PROUDLY displayed on the window sill above the sink. rotflmao

The Texas people should know my name now. grin
