This is to inform you that, after carefful and agonizing consideration, I will be retiring from clinical medical practice as of August 31, 2008 in order to pursue unique intellectual property development opportunities in intraoperative nerve integrity monitoring. I also expect to do more songwriting, which one of the main reasons that I came to...

This is the ENT I've been seeing since my ear drum ruptured in February.

I once went to a dinner dance and the band members were ALL doctors and nurses at a local teaching hospital that has a big name. One of the musicians was the Chief of Surgery.

And, my internist invited me to one of his gigs at a local bookstore. I actually went. I own one of his CDs.

Oh, and my internist has a child who has, at different times, gone to school w/ both of my children. She is my daughter's age but one year attended the very small school my son was attending....anyway, there is nothing like going to a party and looking over and there is a man who has seen (most of) you without your clothes on. If you aren't the type to take your clothes off for lots of me, that is a strangeness.

think

Here's one of the CDs my internist has out. He's the one on the piano.

My last trip in, we discussed politics and the fact that the two primary parties have both managed to assemble presidential tickets that I can't support. TEEF

So, this is a big city. It is strange for me to run into this guy at school functions. It was strange to run into him at a social event. It is strange for your doctor to invite you to his gigs. It's strange to have a doctor who has CDs on the market.

However, my body is not so strange. It may be a bit plush but it's not strange. Plush as in well padded. Not overstuffed. Just well padded.

Yeah, and it has a much nicer ring to it than "fluffy."

It's more elegant.
