I've been reading about it for MONTHS now. It about covenant marriages. By the looks of it, its not gonna win any academy awards for acting, but I know the actors in it, or at least the MAIN ones, REALLY BELIEVE in covenant marriages and its kind of a labor of love.
The more I read about covenant marriages, the more I like. But, its gonna "force" people to put their money where their mouth is, and for that reason, I don't see it getting very popular.

I bet "Facing the giants" made by the same people wasn't supposed to be popular either.

I heard that was a great movie.
By popular, I meant COVENANT MARRIAGE, not the movie. Its a religious movie, those almost always do well. I mean, I don't think it will be a top 10 movie, but I am sure it will be popular.
Like I said, anyone who is in the unfortunate postition of being in a troubled marriage will find the movie helpful. So, its potential viewers will be enormous.

I cannot wait for this movie. Our local Christian radio station is doing a free preview and it "sold out" within a couple hours and before I could get tickets. I LOVED "Facing the Giants"

HI all, I have seen the movie. Prerelease in my area. I liked the movie it is very pro marriage. There is one scene i couldnt take, reminded me to much of the affair that XW had on me. I finished the movie I was glad I did.My wife (not XW) really like it.
It was made by the church that made "fly Wheel" and "Facing the Giants"
i give it two thumbs up.
Blessings

XW and I went to that church before we were married.
It's Sherwood Baptist in Albany, GA.

I'm excited about this movie - I pre-bought tickets for the movie at Fandango The premise of the movie is based off a Book called "The Love Dare" The Love Dare Book The Love Dare personally leads you through daily devotionals, records your thoughts and experiences, and ends each day daring you to perform a simple act of love for your spouse. This 40-Day journey equips you to melt hardened, separated hearts into an enduring love that can withstand the flames of fear, pride and temptation. In a world that attacks, devalues, and redefines relationships every day, learn how to rescue and protect your marriage from the firestorm. Take The Love Dare and FIREPROOF your relationship.

I am really looking forward to this movie...Mr. W and I have a date to see it on Friday night - he purchased our tickets in advance...We both loved Facing the Giants and I recently watched Flywheel online (free) and loved it too...Sounds like Fireproof will be a winner in our book as well...It's nice to see movies that promote marriage and family at a time when most things in life are not geared towards that at all...

I read the novel "Fireproof" -- my DH bought it for me recently for our 31st anniversary.
The writing was kinda cheesy, but the message was GREAT! I read through it in one sitting. MBs will relate to it a great deal.
Didn't trigger me personally I guess because it was a reverse situation (WW v. WH) but I imagine if there are any couples in the audience experiencing infidelity/withdrawal in their marriage, it will be a wonderful movie to see.
I can't wait to see the movie, I'm sure it'll be good.

I didn't realize this movie was about infidelity at all PM...That is interesting...Mr. W and I were wondering about the impact that this movie might have on people in VERY early recovery - one where one spouse is reluctant...Guess we will see for ourselves on Friday...counting down the days... On another note (pun intended - yes I'm corny - lol)...We love the band The Casting Crowns...We just recently figured out that their song Slow Fade is about adultery...It's a great song, but the video leaves me tearful every single time that I watch it~~~> Slow Fade by The Casting Crowns VERY POWERFUL! Do you think you would recommend for someone like me to go and see this movie even the my H is living with the OW? I had planned to go see it but I am a little nervous I may cry in the theater.
Is the movie friendly for children 10 and older?

Mrs.W the video for Slow Fade is very powerful! Maybe they changed the story for the movie. I hope not! It also deals with pornography.

Is the movie friendly for children 10 and older? I couldn't say yet Trying2live...I would imagine that you would cry in the theater...My guess is that many people who see this movie will...I KNOW that I will, but I am a giant sap that cries in lots of movies - I cried in Facing the Giants and Flywheel too...Heck, I cry every week in church...A good cry though... I would suspect that it would be okay for children to see this movie...It is a production done by a Baptist church after all... I'm sure those of us that see it on Friday will be able to give you a better idea afterwards... And Trying2live...Big hugs for you... Mrs. W
