Pops..........I understand your point, and I know that a lot of people have gone through the same things.

My post to road was just to say that every situation is different. and that nobody can say with 100% certainty what will happen with anything, not just affairs and OC.

true enough hurt.

even tho most all these situations have a similar set of symptoms they each have their own specific characteristics with the personalities of the people involved.

I am sorry you are going through that. Did you have a DNA test?

I don't trust H, I don't trust OW to tell the truth about anything. I don't trust anybody right now. I can't even imagine the lies he has told his friends. They all know about the OC.

This past weekend we were at a party at H friend's house, Everyone was very nice to me, but I still felt like a fool, because they all know about everything, and I felt stupid and was wondering if they were thinking I was stupid for staying with him? The most terrible thing about any of us who are in these situations with affairs and OC, is that it will never go away! Ever! And I am so mad I could scream!
I can’t relate to how you feel but I think if everyone was nice it could mean 1 of 2 things. Either they are all fake or they feel for you and maybe feel conflicted about the situation. These are his friends, they know he f@#’d up and you paid the price. If this happened to one of my DH’s friend and his wife decided to stay with him I know I would feel for her and would be nice. I would respect her choice in staying with him. It would be her WH that I would have a problem with. One of my DH’s friends had a 1.5 year affair and his wife suspected (and found evidence and confronted him) but his close friends had no clue. He moved out that day and it’s been about 6 months and the the D was final just last week. I felt very bad for her even though we aren’t really friends. I told my DH that I wasn’t ready to see him yet and would let him know when I am ready. One thing DH and I agree with is we will never meet the OW. DH will let him know that he is envited to our Christmas party but she isn’t. He will have to choose between his friend and his OW but that will be his decision. We may never see his BW again and we know the A will end and there will be someone else in the future but the OW is not welcome here.
He called DH yesterday and said he really needs to talk to him. DH has gone out with him to talk but WH never got real with DH. Every time DH would try to get into deep talk he changed it to fun conversation. They were also not alone, there were other friends there. This time WH wants to really talk and ONLY to DH. DH made it clear it has to be a real talk and WH said “yes, my world is falling down around me and you are the only one I can really talk to.” I told DH just a week ago (after we found out the D was final) that I thought the A would end and WH would have huge regrets about what he has done. I didn’t think it would be this quick!

I don't think any of his friends were being fake. I'm very easy to get along with. I think I made a good impression on them. There were times where H and I were in different rooms, and I had no problem holding my own with them.

I know that they all know about OC, but I'm not sure if they know I know about OC. Either way I feel stupid.......If they know I know, then I look foolish for staying with someone who has done this to his family.

On the other hand, if they think I don't know about OC, then I look foolish for apparently being "Clueless"

Catch 22!
