Not sure what you or MSNBC wanted her to do... run screaming from the altar when he mentioned it rather than have stood there politely and waited for him to finish?

Um, well, how about not crediting his "laying hands on her" and praying her into office as a big part of why she got elected in the first place... Good grief! crazy

Article 6 of the Constitution forbids religious tests for public office:
Quote
The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

so Sarah Palin's belief in witchcraft is not in itself a reason to bar her from becoming VP.

What does your post have to do w/ your error that a VISITING pastor was SP's pastor?

Yes, good grief indeed!

Creditting prayers for bringing about successes, strength or wisdom is COMMON among Christians.

It is also common practice for decent people not to strike up religious debates about witchcraft and/or whether a priest had the power to protect oneself from such a thing or if such protection could only be had, if at all, from one's own faith in God, when one is welcoming a visiting pastor at the alter.

Smiling and thanking him for the blessing shows me that she is a decent person who can respect someone else's religious beliefs.

Oh, I'm all for crediting God when something positive happens in my life, or in others' lives...but to give credit for winning an election on the fact that a witch hunter laid hands on her and prayed for God to "make a way" is a little loopy if ya ask me.

Video here...
Sarah Palin gives credit for winning election to witch hunter

Hey, I'm loopy like that! I give God lots of credit for the good in my life. He has been good to me too. smile

And I sure needed a witch doctor last week when I had PMS! Maybe I can get that guy's number? grin

IMO, showing gratitude to God and giving credit to the power of prayer is one of the most normal things a Christian can do.

My SiL lives in Alaska and has met Sarah Palin. Despite the media and Democrats' mad frenzy to discredit her, Sarah Palin is, to quote my SiL, "a wonderful governor...a VERY smart woman, and she's not afraid to take on the "big boys", such as the oil companies.

The media and the Democrats harp on her comment about being able to see Russia, but the reality is that she IS in the position, as Commander in Chief of the Alaska National Guard, of keeping a close eye on Russia.

I am awaiting the VP debate to see how she comes out against Biden. I'm thinking that she will show her mettle at that time.

Obama don't need no stinkin' witch doctor.

All he needs is a Moderator of the Vice Presidential debate who is "in his tank." She is an ardent Obama supporter with a book coming out gushing over Obama....and SHE is going to Moderate the Vice Presedential debate Thursday night?!?!?

Talk about not needing prayer?!?!

It would also help if she wasn't a dolt who was in over her head as Mayor of Wasilla.

McCain has already let his party down by selecting her. Should he win the election and die, he will have let the entire free world down.

So, then she has a financial interest in who wins this election, doesn't she?

Good grief!

That's funny....like the moderator is going to determine who does a better job during the debate.

Already making excuses for an anticipated failure. Handling Palin with kid gloves.

Good grief indeed.

I heard a rumor that Rush Lambaugh broke her leg yesterday Nancy Kerigan style.

Notice if the moderator shows up on crutches or limping as this rumor won't make the news.

Why don't they just admit that she's not ready for the VP role yet. The thought of her going to Russia to negotiate with Vladimir Putin on behalf of the American people is frightening. shocked

Spoken like a true LIBERAL!!!

What if the moderator for Thursdays VP debate had written a 'Gushing' I love McCain book like this woman has done about Obama??? All of you Liberal Dems would be up in arms but those of us that like Sarah Palin are supposed to be alright with this??

IMHO, if the moderator even shows any political leaning at all, they should not be there because it DOES make a difference naughty

Already making excuses for an anticipated failure. Handling Palin with kid gloves.

Krazy, your bias is showing and your lack of logic, let alone standing on the standard liberal mantra of "fairness" seems to be sorely lacking.

The Moderator develops and/or selects the questions to be asked.

Let me ask you one along those lines to "prove the point" that the questioner CAN "determine" the response and how other will view the response regardless of how you might answer the question:

"Krazy, have you stopped beating your wife and using heroin yet?"

For all your prejudicial snideness about Palin and Wasilla, she was elected Governor and has an 80+% approval rating in the State of Alaska. So much for being "inept."

If you want "inept," look no further than the words that come out of Joe Biden's mouth. Would like some examples? How about just one? "Hillary would have been a better pick for Vice President than me."

How about another with respect to his running mate, Barak Obama"
"The White House is no place for on-the-job training." Please! Let's put the guy who can't make up his mind and virtually always votes "Present" when it comes to actually taking a prinicipled stance on something. Market Meltdown...."call me if I'm needed." Yep, Mr. "Johnny-on-the-spot" concern for the country over his own political aspirations.

Not qualified? Sarah Palin? You've got to be kidding me when you look at the Democrat ticket. What ONE thing has Obama accomplished, other than getting himself elected, in either the Illinois or the US Senate (all 172 he served while NOT campaigning for the "next office" he wants)? So much for serving the people of the State of Illinois.

"Handling Palin with kid gloves"???

Can't wait to see the "pit bull" gnosh on those gloves! :MrEEk:

Yep. McCain can't ask her to withdraw so she should volunteer to withdraw HERSELF. She won't, though. I think it's telling that there are grumblings from some Republicans about McCain's poor choice.
