trying hard,
it's difficult, and it's awkward, but I believe that you two should just jump right back in with the families. Answer their concerns that you feel they need to know about honestly, and don't tell them anything they don't need to know. The most difficult part is how much to tell them. I speak from experience [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com].
It can be done, but just remember that it will take time, and it's kinda (or really, really) awkward.
Best wishes...
------------------
~Sheryl
Marriage: the most important contract you'll ever enter into, and the most sacred.

thanks sheryl i have read many of your
posts at this site you seem to be active and have had good experience...my w has
kind of kept me away she is just starting to want to try to make a go of
it and i don't wan't to push her on the
family issue...awkward is probably putting it mildly the thought of seeing
her mom and dad get me queasy though i
know i have to bite the bullet...will they ever accept me again? i know they
will never understand and i'm sure it
will be a long time before it is even
comfortable--i guess the first step has
to be mine--should i wait until w says it's ok or tell her that i really want and need this?
thanks much peace and love..trying hard
