No, of course I didn't. I expected to have to work for them, and I was prepared to do so. But circumstances happened - specifically the active obstruction of my company commander, and Operation Desert Storm - that made it impossible for me to pursue my goals. I watched those doors slam shut in my face.

This guy did not claim to be a psychic, btw. He claimed to be "spirit-filled" and to have the "gift of prophecy".

ok, well I can't say that he was lying. but it is possible that he did not see the entire picture of your future. Or else something hadn't been set in motion to cause those specific problems at that time. It is not always easy to see the big picture when you have a "vision" but I can't speak for that person. I apologize for assuming... I just want you to understand that it is difficult to see far into the future because the present is constantly changing.

I hope you all understand that. And even though you may get hurt, it will end up making you stronger. You have to make sure you know how to love yourself, if others can't.

No i don't think Satan has the power to make me believe anything. Do you know why? Because Satan isn't a separate being. Satan is in all of us. You know that whole cliche about the angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other..... well that's the way I see things. There is a difference in knowing the difference between right and wrong and acting on them. No sweetheart, I am not being deceived. I am being truthful and honest. And I have had this gift my entire life, and I know evil when it comes around. If you let your life consume with fear of the unknown, then you won't have much of a life at all.

Sadly, you are being deceived...I will pray for you...

Are you aware that this is a Christian website Rev08? Check out the logo above...3 triangles pointing up...The Trinity...The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit...

Do you have a marital problem that you need assistance with?

What is your evidence for this?

When did this happen? I had always unders2d that although the Harleys are Christians, the website isn't exclusively Christian. Did that change at some point?

I see the logo at the top of the screen. Looks like a red triangle with a couple of white arrows on it, pointing 2 the apex. Seems like a graphical representation of a couple with a common goal, 2 me. Why not use the ichthys fishy?

But maybe I'm wrong.

Is it okay 2 bash psychics here? Because I can't believe people put any credence in any of them. Fraudulent versus non-fraudulent psychics? They're all flimflam artists.

However, if you do have a belief in the Bible, I would be interested to find your scriptural justification for accepting the claims of any psychic, however nice they may seem to be and whether or not they help the police. If you don't, and Original Poster doesn't either, then anybody's opinion here is as good as anybody elses' and she can pick and choose whatever advice fits best with what she wants to do.

The poster asked "Is it legit?"

I cited an example.

A gift from God is NOT evil. Can it be used for evil? Of course! Just like anything else can if you allow evil forces into your life.

It's not OK to bash anyone here.

Me either! They are ALL frauds and con artists that when put to the test have failed miserably. It is only desperate people that will fall for anything that go to these quacks.

I'm pretty sure that this particular guy was lying. It's taken me years, but I understand now that I was not suited, at that time in my life, for the responsibility I wanted with that particular career goal. Although I wasn't right for it, if I'd had the opportunity I'm sure I could have gotten there - but that would have put me in a position where I might have gotten someone killed.

Also (and more importantly)... if I'd gone in that direction, I would have never met my wife. And I'll take my wife over a commission any day.

None of what I wanted worked out, but I believe I am now where I was meant to be. I believe that those closed doors turned out for the best.

Nevertheless, that guy made specific claims that God wanted me to go in the direction I wanted to go. And he assured me that the doors would open for me. And since those specific goals were not where I was meant to go... he was feeding me pablum, telling me what I wanted to hear and stroking my ego. That's not from God, and that's not any inborn psychic ability, either. That guy was a charlatan. Who knows how many people listened to him and had their faith shaken?

He'll have to answer to God for that, one day.

Anyone who believes in the Bible, and even wonders about whether these spirit manifestations could be from God, should take the time to read everything the Bible has to say about death.

There are lots of good online sources, where a search like that is very easy to do. Here are just a few references to start you in your search:

Psalms 115:17 The dead praise not the Lord.
Psalms 6:5 In death there is no remembrance of thee.
Job 7:10 He shall return no more to his house.
Isaiah 38:18 Death can not celebrate thee.
Psalms 146:4 His thoughts perish.
Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10 The dead don't know anything.
Job 14:12 The dead don't awake until the heavens are no more.
Acts 2:29, 34 King David, man after God's own heart, is not in heaven yet.
Exekiel 18:4 Souls die.
1 Timothy 6:15, 16 Only God is immortal.
1 Corinthians 15:51-53 We will become immortal when Jesus comes.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 The dead will rise when Jesus comes.

The Bible often calls death a sleep.
John 11:11, 14
Matthew 27:52
2 Samuel 7:12
1 Thessalonians 4:14

Satan can work miracles.
Revelation 16:13, 14
2 Thessalonians 2:8-10

Why is this important? Look carefully at that last verse - Satan WILL deceive us in the last days, if we do not have a LOVE OF THE TRUTH.

God loves us, and does not want us to be deceived. He has sent warnings in His word not to have anything to do with witches, wizards, those who claim to speak to the dead, and anyone who speaks contrary to His word.

We ignore His warning at our peril.

What does Hinduism teach on the subject?

After all, it's as likely to be the "correct" religion as any.

Once again Krazy, you crack me up!

I would love to go to a psychic but it would be for pure entertainment value. I'm the ultimate skeptic but I get a kick out of reading my horoscope every morning. We (at work) like to elaborate on the predictions and turn them into schemes against the boss. It's amazing how you can rationalize just about anything into anything else.

In my opinion, there has never been any such thing as "supernatural".

Seeing the future/prophecy, reading minds, talking to the dead, reading palms, hearing "god" in any form, possession/exorcism, instant healing (like Benny Hinn), reincarnation, ghosts, seeing the Virgin Mary in a piece of tree bark, any miraculous occurance from the Bible, Koran, etc. etc..

It's all bogus. There has never been a single verifiable case of a supernatural occurance, ever. Nothing beyond anecdotes and handed-down stories.

Magic might be cool if it was real, but so would Santa Claus.
