No I did not see you there. I visited way back when you were still full time on IV. That other site has since been blocked by our proxy server even from the house and I think you joined there after the blockage.

BigK,

I really don't know what you are referring to. Are you looking at another thread? Keep in mind that Pio is banned. I haven't looked back at TKO to see if it is even still there. The search function doesn't seem to work as well as it used to.

Well I saw TKO but I don't see any ignorant users. Are you filtering someone?

Stanley was on here a couple of months ago with an update. Both he a Myrta were going strong. If you want the text he was talking with some of the heavyweights on here not a light weight like me wink

Yes it is still me nit-picking. Thanks for the kind words. I did ask a Mod if I could be unbanned but no luck. Actually I think I like this better. Sort of like being reborn in a cyberish sort of way.

It has been a difficult struggle at times but it has gotten progressively easier. Not posting for a year really seems to have helped. I will say that, as I have recently been posting on some other threads, some emotions have returned. Fortunately I have been able to keep them in perspective. What I mean by that is that I can recognize that gemela has done nothing to bring that about.

It's funny now that I look back on things. I seem to have an almost clinical detachment. Maybe that is part of the coping mechanism. It's a bit like major surgery with a local anesthetic - you are aware of everything but you feel no pain.

I have to say selfishly that I still daydream about gemela coming to me and telling me how sorry she is for the A. I can't really see that happening though.

We took a European vacation this summer and spent two weeks in Italy and then to Greece for two weeks sailing the Aegean in a four cabin sloop we rented. Since I can't sail, we rented the captain too. I realized only too late that it could have been a serious problem because many of the rental captains are not much more than cabana boys and I was having flashbacks to poolboy. Fortunately I got Ahab. It was funny though because I was very observant of Ahab since we were in such close proximity. He was a single father and I noticed on several occasions that he seemed to try to cause striff between gemela and I. He would tell her things that I supposedly had said when, in fact, I hadn't. Once gemela realized this too, we just kept our distance. That wasn't too difficult either because the guy never bathed and he smelled like a portapotty on an Arizona job site in August. We always tried our best to keep upwind.

The sailing was definitely not as relaxing as I had expected. None of us bathed for the first three days because we weren't excited about showering in the tiny bathrooms. Finally out of desperation we just hosed off on the back of the boat. It's nice to be back to a toilet that I don't have to pump.

Next time I will rent a boat with AC or maybe just not go in August. Oh well - lesson learned.

And thanks ML for the greetings from North Mexico.

I have to say that there have been times when I asked myself if this is really what I want. But even since Dday, there has never been any woman that I have had the slightest attraction to except gemela. And I cannot imagine a better person for a wife. The DDs are happy and doing well in school. They have a lot of friends also but I'm amazed at the very distinct personalities they have. I think gemela has really adjusted to life here. She no longer sees it as the end of her life but rather the beginning of infinite possibilities.

Oh I almost forgot but I have a question. Next year we will make the biannual pilgrimage to Mexico and had thought about spending a week in Cuba. I knew that a US citizen could not fly to Cuba from the USA but hadn't realized that, if caught having traveled to Cuba, the penalties can be severe.

So I want to go to Cuba but does anyone have experience on how to circumvent the travel ban? I've heard some people say you can get a separate piece of paper stamped at Cuban immigration so the visa doesn't appear in the passport. I also heard of one guy who just ripped the page out of his passport and claimed the dog ate it.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Bonus Dios? I guess that is like India where they have all those extras? Actually "bonus dios" is a great concept because you blame a god for all your problems and still not lose your faith.
