I can't speak for "people", but for me personally, I admire many female leaders, and you are right, Palin does not fit the mold. She is not very bright and she is clueless about the world around her. Has nothing to do with her gender.

You may not be a sexist, but many in your party ARE. Palin is clearly being held to an entirely different standard than Joe Biden. No one is questioning Biden's ability to handle a family and his political office. No one is questioning Biden's intelligence and ability to handle his position when it is clear that he has said some incredibly stupid things. No one is calling Biden sexist slurs like "FrankenBarbie" [democrap Naomi Wolf] or putting swimsuits on him. No one is questioning Obama's ability to handle the job even though he has far LESS experience than Palin.

Sorry, if you can't see it; but REAL feminists out here do see it and are very offended.

Medc:

I think the telling number is that:

"200,000 out of 660,000"

new registrations have errors.

That's 33% of all new registrants have errors. Trying to lay the blame on "clerical" errors is disingenious at best, downright criminal at worst.

And forcing Ms. Brunner to resolve those issues before election day and remove those that are incorrect, should be her JOB.

Call them provisional ballots? Sure, they get counted on election day, the results are posted and the election is decided. If they get thrown out later, Are we going to CHANGE the election results?

And, according to the Supreme Court, since they threw out the Ohio GOP for bringing the suit, the ONLY person that COULD bring the suit, would be somebody who was BARRED from voting on Election day due to the inaccurate information THEY provided to the government before the election, that the government refused to correct or verify beforehand.

Yes, its going to get ugly.

She is brighter and more experienced than Obama and Biden, yet you don't question their intelligence. She was "bright" enough to hand Biden his [censored] in a debate. When you treat someone to a different standard, it is usually for a reason. So, I don't know if you are just a partisan political hack or if you are sexist, but something is clearly OFF.

Well, I agree that Palin ends up being the butt of many jokes, and I am not saying that Biden cannot be the butt of some jokes either.

But a part of this is that Palin was specifically picked to create a lot of attention, and she got it, both good and bad. Had McCain picked a truly qualified woman (e.g. Kay Bailey Hutchison), you would not have heard all these jokes.

As far as sexism, I think this is equal opportunity. She is not getting any more jokes than Quayle did. Nothing sexist about it. Stupidity is the reason, not sexism.

She is? How many universities did she attend before pulling off a journalism degree? And that makes her brighter than the other two, who got law degrees?

Yet she handed Biden his [censored] in a political debate. Doesn't say much for his "intelligence" does it? And how will university experience trump real life GOVERNENCE experience? She has governed a STATE, they have governed NOTHING. You think someone can learn how to govern a nation in a college classroom? Somehow, I don't think folks are going to buy that.

Well, that is your opinion that I do not happen to share. I am not sure how your opinion proves your point that to dislike Palin is sexist.

But, that is just YOUR opinion. And that is ok. It is perfectly fine with me if democrats dislike Sarah Palin. I believe that is a compliment. smile

Again, since when does losing by a margin of at least 15% equal kicking someones butt? She did better than expected and may be more likeable, but the FACT is she lost the debate.

Would that be CBS, known for falsifying memos in order to throw an election to suit their partisan politcal agenda? [Dan Rather and the George Bush Nat'l Guard memos] and CNN, a known bastion of liberals, who have also been known to falsify news stories to suit a political agenda? [serin nerve gas story]

Same CNN and CBS?

Oh, I forgot about the faked baby milk factory bombing in Iraq, done by CNN during the Gulf War. [goal was to create sympathy for the enemy]

others are coming to mind....

Doesn't the FOX Channel do SPINS, too? I can hardly watch that channel. It seems obviously biased to me.

Did they get caught falsifying news stories like some of the liberal stations? I felt like Dan Rather's faked George Bush memo-gate story was a little biased personally. Did you think that was biased?

I didn't say the other channels aren't biased. I was wondering about FOX. Is it biased towards the political right?

Please...that's completely ridiculous.

I understand that partisan politics can make people say or do things that don't make much sense, but to claim that Palin has handed anyone their [censored] at any point since her selection is ignoring reality.

She has been McCain's biggest liability coming down the stretch.

It seems that telling lame jokes, dropping the "g" when pronouncing any word that ends in "g", and winking will only get you so far.

I doubt any male candidate will risk selecting a female running mate for quite some time.

Palin has actually set women back a generation or so.
