Of course she's cute, though she looks too much like my ex for me to look at her that way . I didn't say she's not cute. But I do believe that some pro-Obama posters here were taken to task here for thinking that he is cute, so we can't have it both ways, can we? As for me, I am not anti-Palin because she is or is not cute, or is or is not a woman, but because I think she is dumb. And yes, that is just my opinion, not a fact. I don't get why McCain picked her over Hutchinson, I think it is a decision that he will kicking himself for during the long cold winter. AGG

no, I was responding to your idea that Palin couldn't be taken seriously because people think she looks good.
Extending that reasoning, then Clinton couldn't be taken seriously because women were "swooing" over him.
In other words, I was rejecting the idea, not picking a fight. Got it. We agree here. I did not mean that she is unqualified because she is cute, my reasons had to do with her non-physical attributes. AGG

Interesting..I just read up about Campbell Brown..she's the daughter of a Louisiana DEMOCRATIC senator but MARRIED to a FOX REPUBLICAN news consultant... I don't think it proves anything, T&L. I do think it's INTERESTING...

Got it. We agree here. I did not mean that she is unqualified because she is cute, my reasons had to do with her non-physical attributes. AGG - I understand that is your opinion. However, given that you don't think her experience as a Governor, Mayor, etc., all Executive Branch experience, qualifies her for the office of Vice President, what do you think makes Obama qualified to be President? His experience is very limited and completely confined to the Legislative branches of government. He has no experience running a company. He has very leftist, socialistic, beliefs. So what makes him "qualified" for President and Sarah Paling "not qualified" for Vice President? If it IS experience that you base "qualifications" on, then what specific experience categories ARE you using for your "non-physical" reasons?

Obama has served in the legislative branch of the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT whereas Palin has served in LOCAL AND STATE GOVERNMENTS...whose position is closest in line with the PRESIDENCY?..which last time I checked is also in the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. It seems obviously preferential for the PRESIDENT to be highly familiar with the SENATE and CONGRESS, to already be on a first name basis with many of its members.
And let us not forget that INTELLIGENCE is an essential factor for the Presidency.
That's what bothers me..SHE could be PRESIDENT.

Who is next in line for the Presidency after the Vice President? One of the Governors? Order of Presidential Succession But, I guess I'm grasping at straws...

That doesn't matter. Imagine a Governor of a large state and their duties. Now imagine the duties of a three year senator. They are vastly different.
A Chief Executive (Governor) is a bit more qualified to take over as a President than a wet behind the ears senator.

You want "funny," mimi?
Here:
Current order
This is a list of the current presidential line of succession, as specified by the Presidential Succession Act of 1947 (3 U.S.C. § 19).
# --- Office --- Current Officer 1 Vice President and President of the Senate [censored] Cheney 2 Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi 3 President pro tempore of the Senate Robert Byrd 4 Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice 5 Secretary of the Treasury Henry Paulson 6 Secretary of Defense Robert Gates 7 Attorney General Michael Mukasey 8 Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne 9 Secretary of Agriculture Ed Schafer — Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez (non-natural)† — Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao (non-natural)† 10 Secretary of Health and Human Services Mike Leavitt 11 Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Steve Preston 12 Secretary of Transportation Mary Peters 13 Secretary of Energy Samuel Bodman 14 Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings 15 Secretary of Veterans Affairs James Peake 16 Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff
Now Pelosi and "sheets" (aka KKK alum) Byrd are very "humorous" potentials for President. The rest of the "crew" are not, and never have been, elected to anything.
It is for preserving the OFFICE of President, not for putting the "most qualified" person in that office.
What is even more "humorous" is the frightening possibility of Obama, Pelosi, and Harry Reid (with Sheets Byrd right there as the "conscience of the senate) moving the USA into a Socialist State with no opposition. They've already demonstrated an unprecidented lack of judgment in "running things."

Socialists mainly share the belief that capitalism by nature concentrates power and wealth among a small segment of society that controls capital, and creates an unequal society. All socialists advocate the creation of an egalitarian society, in which wealth and power are distributed more evenly, although there is considerable disagreement among socialists over how, and to what extent this could be achieved Sound familiar Mimi. Time to sharpen your knife a bit.

I wasn't talking about the specific individuals, Forever..I was making reference to their POSITIONS.
As outlined in OUR GOVERNMENT, governors and mayors are not considered to be at the same level as Senators and Congressmen...is my point.
