Do any of the Vets on here have any advise for some of the health problems that stress causes during plan A? I know for my self that I have been having major skin problems. Mainly very dry skin and breakouts. I looked this up on the web and found out that this is a very common problem when under stress.

I also would appreciate if anyone would share any foods or supplments that helped with energy.

Im not a vet but I did/do have A related skin complaints. My chin and neck have a rash which was much worse. I got a 1% hydrocortisone cream for sensitive skin.
I also took evening primrose oil but havent bothered with that for a while.

As I also have psorisis I use copious amounts of moisturer (unperfumed) everytime my hands get wet to stop the cracking, and use gloves for almost any activity involving water and/or chemicals.

Yup I still have bouts of skin problems since the onset of this. I used hydro cortisone too but just recently added a psoriasis gel too. I take a lot of vitamins too, calcium to offset the acid produced by stress and a b-complex to help with stress, and a multi vitamin.
I also took 5-htp to help relax, its like the tryptophan in turkey.

Hi pumkin

I had a few health issues back in plan A when the A was active. IBS, gout both stress-triggered. Nice.

I decided to invest in me.

I wasn't able to eat much but I made sure it was good the little I DID eat. Veggies, balanced meals etc. Took a multivitamin supp too. Virtually gave up alcohol, drank herbal infusions instead ( you soon get used to them, and camomile for example is a great natural sleep aid).

Once drugs controlled my gout and diet controlled my IBS i started working out. Got really fit, exploited my huge weight loss on the "A-plan" diet laugh

I had to start valuing myself. I felt great and it made me strong for the fight. Do that pumkin.

All blessings.

Thanks for the replys. There are so many different aspects to this situation. It's nice to have some place were they can all be discussed.

Do NOT forget to incorporate yoga into your life. It is just as important as ANY supplement you can add. I mean, real yoga, in a studio, not just a tape in your bedroom.

Thanks Cat. I've been looking for a yoga studio around here for about a year. I live in Tennessee in a kind of rural area so few opportunities exsist. Any other suggestions?
