I'm sure the right would like us to believe that it is because we elected a terrorist, socialist, muslim, arab to the office of president. But since... Oil & Gas - IntegratedOil & Gas OperationsOil Well Services & Equipmentall saw similar losses and the market as a whole saw a 10% decrease in the past 2 days. The largest two day loss since the 1987 market crash, mostly because of the horrible retail sales report. It's safe to say this loss had everything to do with the market conditions and not the fact that Obama kicked McCain's butt. Want2Stay

Or maybe it is b/c the economy is going into a recession and demand for energy is going down. The largest steel company in the world (MT) cut output (coal is used to fire the furnaces).
