She has been acting even more distant than before and I think she is going to hook up with him when she is there. What is the general cost a PI would charge to monitor the situation for two evenings? Is this realistic? Tired of the lies and uncertainties. Yesterday she told me she hates me and has zero feelings for me.

iam Member I Joined: May 2008 Posts: 1,153	What are you hoping to accomplish? Are you looking to prove she sleeps with him? She's told you that she loves the OM. What more proof do you need? You can Plan A if you can take her sleeping with OM or you can Plan B and kick her out.

It also seems as though she is determined to go through with a divorce so I want to document the affair for court if we come to that point. I am continuing with Plan A. Would most people not be concerned about whether she is continuing to lie? I'm not sure how I feel at this point.

Dancing_Machine Member D Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 3,278	I can tell you what prices were in my area about 5 years ago. Some were charging as low as $30 per hour and others $60 & up. That was just for monitoring--mileage was extra. We lucked out and found a great team for $60 an hour. We had to pay a $1,000 retainer. If you end up hiring a PI you want to make sure you develop a good rapport and stay in good contact--ours would call periodically with updates and ask us if he should continue monitoring if the situation had changed, etc. I'm sure there are some out there that won't do that and if you say: "Monitor from 6am-8pm" that is what they will do, no matter if it is at a point of uselessness by 12pm.
