To the most absolutely wonderful man on the planet. Every day I marvel at the things he does and the way he does them. He's incredible.
We have had the WORST start ever to our marriage. A week before the wedding, a child abuse investigator showed up at my work and asked to talk to me! He then told me I had been anonomously reported for child abuse and he's already been to school to talk to 2 of my kids! I was shocked, but knowing I hadn't done anything wrong I cooperated. As the investigation went on I became angry because I don't like people prying into my life, talking to my kids, etc. After meeting with all the "investigative team", they finally figured out that we were a really normal, healthy family without any significant problems. Duh. In the middle of all that, we got married. He moved to my place so the kids wouldn't have to change schools, got a great new job, and we are happy as clams. Except that my ex (the second one, not the kids' dad) has been calling and harassing and threatening me about refinancing the house, which should happen as soon as my new husband sells the one he owns now. Meanwhile, I am soooo stressed out.
And, I'm in awe of how my new husband handles it all. He takes care of me. He builds me up. He calms me down. He says "don't worry, we'll handle this together". He is generous and kind to everyone, even my 1st husband who he doesn't really like, but because of the kids he treats him with respect. He is absolutely amazing. I just wish I'd met him first.

Congratulations!
btw, I had the call from CPS just like you did. Turns out it was my stepmother who reported us, to try to get rid of my H. Be careful!

Yeah, I really don't know who made the call. The investigation took a month, but when they wrote up the final report it was nearly glowing about what a great family we have, how we have a game night every week, do stuff together, no drug, alcohol, or any other kind of abuse, etc. I guess the one thing it did was reinforce for me that despite all the difficulties I've had, I"m doing a good job as a mom and my new husband is even making things better.
Last night I realized that since we got married, I actually see my kids again! They had gotten in the habit of always hiding in their rooms when I was married to my second husband because he had such a temper, and I never saw them. Last night I noticed that after supper the kids never even went upstairs. They watched tv and read and hung out with us. They actually call my new husband when they need something before they call me! He doesn't try to be a stepdad, and yet is a fantastic friend and mentor to the kids.
