i dont post on this forum as much anymore because things are going slow in the recovery department and i haven't had much to report but i got some good news a few weeks ago and wanted to share

i got accepted into the local police academy

i will be quitting my job at the salvation army soon to do social work with a badge and cuffs... could no longer afford to work there as a single dad. of course law enforcement is shift work so that will present other problems down the road but i'll cross that bridge when i get there

its been a year and a half since she left me and my emotions sometimes still get the best of me but i am doing okay. a few women have expressed interest in me which has boosted my confidence a bit. so far i've taken your advice and just made new friends with one or two. taking it slow

the ex's boyfriend is in detox right now and the ex emailed me today asking if i could give her the $5 she gave our son the other day for a school lunch he didn't get

God help me if i ever have to beg my ex for $5

Congratulations! I can imagine you doing great things in that position! You rock!

Wow, I know what you mean about the ex. That's so sad.

Let us know how things go!
