Saw this at another site, and it was funny -

There was a time when the waterworks were so bad i just let them flow to wherever, not bothering to wipe with anything. When all calmed down, I would grab the nearest absorbent material and wipe away...

Now, I hold off until I can get a tissue, or I only squish out a few tears, instead of a deluge smirk

When you see a happily married friend, you are happy for her, instead of thinking in the back of your mind that her husband just hasn't cheated YET.

I still have some healing to do.

I went to my cousin's wedding in October. As they are standing at the alter, I'm thinking "which one will it be?"

I even placed bets that it would be her.

I found out later that after I left the wedding there was a big brawl outside (happens when you open a keg) and some "friend" of the bride told her that she (the "friend") had slept with the groom.

Nice, real nice.

LOL!!!!!

Yes, it takes awhile for the cynicism to go. I'm still working on that one.

Another one, when you are at work, and actually WORKING, instead of reading MB.

How about you know you're improving when you login in to MB, but all you have to post is a recipe?

I can't name 'em, SHMI.

(the acronym for your handle sounds like Shimmie - grin)

I know round about the months that I had 'em, but I don't know the exact dates.

I don't even notice the passing anymore.

You also know you're improving when you feel "content" on a regular basis again.

The first time I noticed "content" was WEIRD...now, it's like being full of yummy, warm soup all the time.

(I TOLD you all that it's all about the food)

You know you're improving if:

The antics of WS and/or OP are explosively humorous and anytime they try to "get" at you, you just laugh and laugh and laugh. And tell your friends. And laugh and laugh and laugh!

Ah, well, I've gone the other route. I ate waaaaaaay too much carp when the Z was around, messin with my flow; now, I've dropped more weight and more inches off my waist and feel better about myself than I have in a good long time. wink
