I love the idea of flying, I would love to fly like Harry Potter on a broom,I love Weavers magic music and MEDC's desire to cure all disease is so loving and beautiful but MY desire would be to give everyone one 24 hour period of nothing but joy. No pain, no sorrow, no loss just God given and God feeling J O Y.

no loss just God given and God feeling J O Y. Oh my! But could you imagine the grief after the 24 hours was up? To be so complete, then to feel all the insecurities of being so mundane.... I'd cry for days. - but then, I'd probably be good for the rest of my life so I could feel that again...

Well, I am a water sign, Kimmy. I love scientists, too. My older brother is one and his kids are about the coolest you can imagine. MY desire would be to give everyone one 24 hour period of nothing but joy. No pain, no sorrow, no loss just God given and God feeling J O Y. And you know that if everyone on the planet had that for just one day, the world WOULD be healed. I think that is all it would take. All you people that want to time travel, I want to know to what time? What time would you like to travel to. 2long wants to go prehistoric, but what about the rest of you? Would it be another era, or another time in your life?

Would it be another era, or another time in your life? I'd go back to sometime between 2 B.C. and 40 A.D., to Israel. It might take a few attempts, but I'd settle the Christian vs. Atheist debate once and for all. I'd also like to go 1,000 years into the future and see what we've accomplished, if anything.

One of my scientists had a trip to Antartica to take ice samples.
The penguins are so unafraid of people that they'd just waddle right up to the guys and watch them drill.
Funny critters.

Take good notes, Krazy.
Crap, Hurt&Shocked, you just put another song in my head -
Fly the ocean in a silver plane See the jungle When it's wet with rain
See the pyramids around the Nile Watch the sun rise From the tropic isle
See the market place In old Algiers...

I'd want the ability to stop time, like in "The Girl, The Gold Watch and Everything."

Yeah, I'm surprised at that, too...
(Although to my thinking, if time travel were possible, it would not be possible to change the past.)

Unfortunately, the last flux capacitor was lost in a recent California wildfire You'll have to use a TARDIS to go back and retrieve it just before the fire hits.

It might take a few attempts, but I'd settle the Christian vs. Atheist debate once and for all. I was going 2 suggest something like this myself, kind of like Frank Herbert's "The Jesus Incident". But I get in trouble more often than not when I do stuff like that here. I'm starting 2 like you, Krazy. I'd also like to go 1,000 years into the future and see what we've accomplished, if anything. Ever read H.G. Well's "The Time Machine". Not either of the 2 movies, they don't count (though they were both pretty fun and are favorites of mine). The book is pretty different. And considering it was written about a hundred years ago, pretty smart. I'm always surprised at science programs on TLC and Discovery these days that deal with the fate of the Earth billions of years in the fu2re. They all seem 2 assume that humans will still be on the scene that far in the fu2re, and speculate as 2 how we'll adjust 2 things like the sun becoming a red giant and swallowing Mercury and Venus. Wells correctly predicted, in his novel, that humans 800,000 in the fu2re would bear little resemblance 2 humans 2day, though the specifics of how they're different in the novel are specific 2 the world he envisioned. Time travel, particularly time paradoxes, is my all-time favorite Skiffy subject. -ol' 2long

Piers Anthony has also written a story about what humans in the future would look like. In his book, all of the races have mixed and everyone is more or less the same general shade. I was also looking through my old Isaac Asimov SF magazines while I was moving and re-read a lovely short story about a gal that gets kidnapped through time. She goes back and forth, finally ending up 200 years in the future. Most of the Atlantic seaboard is underwater due to the melted ice caps. I need a new subscription to that magazine. Wonder if Santa will bring it to me?
