In honor of my father who passed away 4 years ago tomorrow(Alzheimer's), I am reaching out to a local nursing home to help provide gifts for those that would otherwise go without this holiday season.

If anyone is interested in helping out, please email me at

baydog@zoominternet.net

The gifts are generally inexpensive and would certainly be appreciated. In addition, since the home is a non profit organization, your gifts would be tax deductible.

Thanks.

What a nice thing to do, MEDC!

When my boys were young I used to buy things at garage sales and take them to the local nursing home. The activity director used them for prizes for bingo. And the residents were THRILLED. I bought almost anything that was new looking - bath soap sets, jewelry, body lotion, figurines.........

Also I picked up a lot of yarn cheap and they used that for knitting.

The gifts don't have to be fancy, they were pleased with very little.

That's a nice thing to do MEDC. Our church organises people to buy gifts for some local shelters etc in our community. It's great to be thinking of others.
