What does it mean if anything when someone shakes their head yes while definitely saying no? They come from Albania.

Thanks Imagine, no not from Albania at least not that I know of. HMMM....
He was trying to convince me that he didn't want to be with someone else, that there was no one else, that he hadn't and doesn't want to have sex with anyone else.
While say no to all these things his head kept going up and down in the yes mode.
So am I crazy to believe his mouth was saying no and his body was saying yes?

There are a number of "tells" that give a person up as to whether they are lying or flustered. It is nigh impossible to not reveal the signs.
Many of these signs are contextural and requires experience and skill to discern the meaning. Women are just naturally more efficient at reading body language thanks to maternal experience.
I would encourage everyone to study this fascinating subject. Especially a BS.

jtd, Depends on what your question was. Generally speaking, however, if the head was saying yes, the answer is yes. But........truly.........depends on the question and what else he was saying besides "no". If he was confirming what he had just said, then the head nodding "yes" could be indicative of the confirmation of previous statements. Tell me more. This is what I live for. SB
Lucky to be where I am, in a safe place to get marriage-related support. Recovered. Happy. Most recent D-day Fall 2005 Our new marriage began that day. Not easily, but it did happen.

HI Schoolbus, thanks for stopping by.
The time that I really noticed the difference was during his statement to me. He was stating that he does not want to be with anyone else. That is when I noticed that while he was saying that his head was going up and down. I know it sounds silly it just was odd.
