I've been waiting for the day I could drag this thread back out... The Illinois Senate voted 59-0 to oust Gov Rod from office.  Then they voted 59-0 to ban him from any elected or appointed public service job anywhere in the State of Illinois.  For life... I hope Pat Quinn knows what he's in for...

I've lived in Illinois my whole life... :RollieEyes: After the vote, Blago was interviewed by the press and he said that he intends to continue the fight to complete the projects he began for the people of Illinois... He really does think he's the messiah...

Pep,
I did honestly feel sorry for him last night. He arrived in Springfield yesterday morning by motorcade in a bullet proof limo with bodyguards and police protection as the Governor of the state where the President was a US Senator till he was elected...
By late afternoon, Rod was a private citizen, alone on the streets of the city with no bodyguards, no police protection and no limo, waiting for a ride so that he could go home even as Pat Quinn was moving into the mansion...
Still claiming innocence and telling the people of Illinois he did it all for them and would continue to do it even now...
