I have been battling alcoholism for a couple years. My husband was overseas the past 6 months and is currently visiting his family after coming back for a short visit and found that I had been with a co-worker twice while he was away. I am back on medication for my alcohol addiction and I have admitted to the short affair. I know that the alcohol played a large role in my deceit. He is coming back the end of the week and will be here for about 10 days before leaving for another 6 months. At first when he found out, he said it was over and for me to plan on a life of my own when he returns in August. Since he has been with his family the past week and has had time away from me after finding out, he states he will wait to make the decision when he returns. Says that I should be on a solid road to recovery from my addiction by then and then we can see what is left. I feel that if we do not try to resolve some of this in the week he is here, he will leave feeling the same as he does now. Then by being away for 6 months, he will return with no feelings and want the marriage to end. I do love him with my entire being, I truly beleive he is my soul mate. We have been married 4-1/2 years and I have three girls from a previous marriage. He is a wonderful father to them. Am I crazy to want to try and work on this before he leaves? I know that there is the withdrawal period, for me I don't feel that. I have no feeling towards this other person and I rarely see him. It was just a moment of weakness which happened twice. Any advise would greatly be appreciated. I want, with everything I have in me, to make our marriage work. I do love my husband and want nothing more then to build back that love and trust.<P>LadyJ
